[Back in the Dragon's Den.]

[Toothless is sleeping, suddenly awoken by baby Scuttleclaws.]

Toothless glared at the said baby dragons.

Hiccup: Well, bud, we can't wait around for Drago to attack this place. We've gotta find him first.

Stoick: Hiccup...

Hiccup raised his arms in surrender.

[Toothless finds a baby Scuttleclaw nibbling on his tail.]

Most children giggled.

Hiccup: Let's go.

[Stoick sneaks up behind Hiccup.]

Everyone was shocked but relieved when realizing it was the chief.

Stoick: Easy now.

Hiccup: Are you kidding me? How'd you get in here?

Stoick: The same way we're getting you out.

Hiccup: We?

Gobber: All clear!

Hiccup: Oh, right. There's him.

Stoick: Toothless. Come.

Hiccup: Dad! There's something you need to know!

Stoick realized that it was time to see his wife again.

Stoick: Yeah, yeah, tell me on the way.

Hiccup: This isn't an on-the-way kind of update, actually...

Stoick: I've heard ENOUGH, Hiccup.

Hiccup: ...more of the earth-shattering development variety.

Stoick: Yeah, just add it to the pile.

Hiccup: Dad, unlike most surprises I spring on you, this one you'll like. I promise! You just have to handle it delicately, so...

Gobber: Uh, you might want to take this one. Oh, boy.

Gobber: Oh-ho! I knew where this is going.

[Stoick draws his sword.]

Hiccup: Dad, can you put the sword away... please?

[Stoick sees Valka and drops his sword from shock.]

Valka: I know what you're going to say, Stoick. How could I have done this? Stayed away all these years. And why didn't I come back to you? To our son. Well, what sign did I have that you could change, Stoick? That anyone on Berk could?

[Stoick, still shocked, doesn't say anything through all this and instead slowly moves closer to Valka.]

Valka (cont.): I pleaded so many times to stop the fighting, to find another answer, but did any of you listen?

Gobber: (to Hiccup) This is why I never married. This and one other reason.

Clara choked.

Valka: I know that I left you to raise Hiccup alone... but I thought he'd be better off without me. And I was wrong, I see that now, but...

[Valka nervously backs up against the wall; on the verge of tears.]

Valka (cont.): Oh stop being so stoic, Stoick. Go on... SHOUT, SCREAM, SAY SOMETHING!

[Stoick touches Valka's cheek. She stares at him in fear.]

Stoick: (also on the verge of tears) You're as beautiful as the day I lost you.

[Valka quietly weeps in relief; Stoick softly kisses her. A relieved and overjoyed Hiccup smiles.]

Everyone was awed by the reunion.

Astrid: I'm glad to see them together again.

Hiccup: Indeed.
