*Readers pov*

I see Joel, Tess and the girl below me.

I drop infront of the girl as she falls back and looks up at me.

???: Are you fucking serious?!

I walk past her.

???: Rude...

You: Did you guys get out unscaved?

Tess: Me and this old man?

She jokes.

Joel: We all did. Let's take the shortcut through the building.

The same night, the same weather. The broken city is ugly with collapsed towers, holes in floors, moss growing everywhere, everything broken and unsafe filled with unactive infected.

I kneel over as I tie my black shoes. I stand back up fixing my mask.

???: Umm...dude?

I look at her.

???: Whats with the scary mask?

Tess: Don't ask him questions. He once killed 3 men in a bar with a pencil cuz they asked too much questions.

Joel: Oh...the blood..

He shakes his head disappointed.

You: Lets go.

Tess: Good idea.

We enter the slanted building as we move past cabinets, drawers and all that. We move to a dead body.

Tess: Kinda fresh...

???: Is that bad?

Tess: Yep.

We move up the stairs seeing a door with a dead clicker and the infected spoars growing through the door and wall.

???: Geez...Whats wrong with its face?...

I look away from the girl and line up my leg to the door that the infected is glued to due to the spores.

You: Can't say much for yourself.

She looks at me in frustration.

???: Wow. Fuck you. No, like, fuck you.

Joel and Tess snicker.

I kick the door open.

Tess: Years of infection makes that happen.

*Timeskip*

Moved through the buildings, underground and through all obstacles we have ended up here.

Theres a totaled bus layed across the street. I parkour ontop of it and give a hand to Joel and Tess.

The girl looks up at me.

???: Woah...How did you do that?

Tess: Questions. Remember.

???: Right..

I lay on the cold bus as I give out my hand to her. She takes it and I pull her up easily.

???: Thanks...

She looks away.

We all drop down as Joel gets to the door with the chain that opens it.

He begins pulling as theres loud screeching from the chain. The door slowly opens from below.

Tess: Shhh-Shhh.

He stops pulling.

Joel: What? I don't hear anything.

I listen out. Some roaming?

Tess: Double-Time, Joel.

He pulls it quicker

Tess: Oh, shit.

A mass army of runners come out and look at us.

???: Shit, they're coming!

They start sprinting at us as I slide under and they crawl through. I hold up the door to Joel as he gets through and I drop it as a infected grabbed my leg.

Pounding on the door occurs as they breathe heavily.

They all step back.

???: Um...you got something on your shoe.

I look below and see the arm attached to it still.

I kick it off.

???: Gross...

We move into a huge museum.

After moving on and killing many clickers and runners stealthily we move on.

I see a place I can parkour ontop of the buildings.

Joel: We're going through the stairs and ladders. Radar ontop.

I jump through the window onto a ledge where I pull myself up to the roof.

I scope it out and find nothing in danger.

After a bit they come ontop and look over at me. Joel takes the plank he found and placed it between the buildings.

Joel: Go on-

???: Pfft.

Joel looks at Tess in disbelief of the girl. I couldn't help but snicker.

I put out my hand and she takes it as she drops next to me.

Joel goes and gets across with Tess.

We all look at the main building.

Joel: Well, what you were waiting for?

???:...I don't know...but you can't deny that pretty view...

We look at the sun nearing the sky giving off beautiful colours.
