We jump through a window.

Joel gets snatched by a black man as I quickly punch him but he withstands it as I try to beat him off Joel.

I drop kick him and start beating the shit out of him on the floor.

Ellie: Cutter. Cutter, stop!

Joel gets up and I stop.

Ellie: Look.

She points with a knife at a young black kid.

He's holding a pistol at me.

???: Leave him alone.

Joel: Take it easy, son. Take it easy.

We back up. He's pointing at Joel.

You: I can kill him, Joel.

Joel: No, Stop. They're not one of them.

The bigger man talks.

???: Don't worry. They're not bad guys. Lower the gun.

He lowers the gun.

???: Man, for a kid you hit hard.

Joel: He was trying to kill you. We tried.,

He stands up.

???: Yeah. I thought you were one of them too. But then I saw her and him.

He points at us.

???: They don't keep kids around. Survival of the fittest.

He groans at the bleeding on his arm from Ellie.

The kid speaks up.

???: You're bleeding.

???: It's nothing.

The kid turns around and the bigger man reaches into the bag.

Henry: I'm Henry. This is my little brother Sam. I caught your name is Cutter?

He looks at me.

Henry: And Joel?

He looks at Joel.

Ellie: Ellie.

Joel rolls his eyes.

Joel: How many are with you?

Sam: They're all dead-

Henry: Hey. We don't know that.

Henry wraps his arm in a bandage.

Henry: Someone had the brilliant idea of entering the city. Look for supplies. Those fuckers, they ambushed us. Scattered us.

Ellie: We can help each other.

Joel: Ellie.

He holds her back.

Ellie: Safety in numbers and all that.

Henry: We could. Got a hideout closer to here. Be safer if we chat there.

Joel: Alright, take us there-

You: Fuck that.

I feel my gun in the back of my belt.

Joel: Cutter-

You: I don't trust them.

Henry: For a good reason. It's all survival.

Ellie: Cutter.

She holds my shoulder and gets in front of me.

Ellie: Come on. We have no other better option. Do it for me.
