I watch as the golden colors of the sun shine on the ocean.
The waves were calm and steady.
All of it together, made the sight beautiful.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" A voice said right next to me

The voice frightened me as I thought I was the only one at the beach.

I look up to meet the person of the voice.

But as soon as I realized it was the cute boy, I've been seeing since the start of my vacation, I was relieved.

"Sorry, for scaring you." The boy shyly smiles

"Oh, no worries." I lightly laugh

"I was on my way to dinner but I saw you here all alone so I wanted to join you. But I mean if you allow me to." The boy rushes the last part

"Yeah, it's fine." I laugh at his nervousness

The boy lightly smiles and takes a seat on the sand next to me. "So what's your name?"

"Y/N" I respond

"What's your full name?" The boy asks

"Y/L/N Y/N"

"Pretty name" the boy says then turns his attention to the view I was just admiring

"What's your name?" I ask while looking at him

The boy doesn't take his eyes from the view but responds "Hong Joshua"

"Nice " I quietly say then turn my attention to the ocean view

We sit there in silence for 3 minutes before he breaks the silence.

"I thought you were cute so I wanted to get to know you before our vacation ends." The boy shyly says

I turn my attention back to him and he turns his to me.

"Really, I thought you were cute too." I shyly say

"I wouldn't be saying any of this if I was back home." The boy Joshua laughs

"Yeah, same here." I laugh

It was true.
This was a vacation and vacations end.
They all do.
And because they do, everything we do and say only becomes memories.

So I didn't care if I told Joshua or even if that is his real name, that Y/N was my real name.
And I didn't care that I was being honest.
Because in the end, these will all be memories.

"How old are you?" Joshua asks

"How old are you?" I ask

"I'm 20" the boy responds with a short laugh

"Are you making sure I'm not a old creep?" The boy asks

"Correct" I laugh "you can never be too cautious."

"You're right." The boy nods

"Well to answer your question, I'm 19."

"Nice" the boy responds

We continued to get to know each other. And a few facts we learned from each other is that...

-Neither of us has been in a relationship
-Never had our first kiss
-We are both from the States
-We enjoy sleeping
-We both enjoy singing
