He shyly nods at my question.
"Can I sit?" Vernon asks while pointing to the seat in front of me
"Yeah." I reply
He sits down.
We stay silent for a few seconds until Vernon breaks the silence.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I broke up with you over text. I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye before I left. I just didn't want to see you hurt." Vernon breaths out
As he's talking my chest hurts. It's too much.
I didn't expect to see him so soon, let alone see him at all.
"Please don't cry." Vernon says which makes me realize that I've been starting to cry
I quickly wipe my tears away and look him straight in the eyes.
"I hated you for leaving me. I loved you and you just left like nothing." I cry
"That's understandable but I truly am sorry."
Vernon pauses but continues "I didn't want to leave you but I had to."
I simply nod and was hoping for Seungkwan to quickly arrive.
"Y/n, say something." Vernon pleaded as I just cried and avoided his gaze
"What do you want me to say? That I'm fine and that I accept your apology. Vernon you left me and dumped me over a stupid texted. You were my first love and of course my first heart break too." I reply with my voice shaking
"I'm still not over it, yet it's been two years since you left. And I feel so stupid for still loving you."
"You still love me?" Vernon asks surprised
"Of course I do" I say as I wipe my tears
"I love you too." Vernon whispers but I still heard it but ignored it
"Y/n?" A voice nexts to us says
We turn and I see Seungkwan standing there with flowers in his hands.
"Seungkwan!" I say surprised and wipe my tears quickly
"Are you ok?" Seungkwan asks and he comes closer to me
I nod and slightly smile
"Is this your boyfriend?" Vernon cuts in
"Yeah." I reply rather quickly
Vernon's expression changed to an surprised face to a confused face.
"I'm guessing you're Vernon." Seungkwan says while putting the flowers down
Vernon nods then questions "Y/n has told you about me?"
"Yeah, she told me you were the douche who broke up with her over text whenever you were moving back to America." Seungkwan says with madness in his voice
Vernon sighs "yeah...well this is my cue to leave." And he gets up from the chair
"Y/n I truly am sorry about what happened. I hope maybe some day you can forgive me." Vernon says then waits a second for me to reply
However I don't reply and Vernon nods then walks away without another word.
Seungkwan quickly takes Vernon seat.
"I'm sorry I arrived so late. If I hadn't, you wouldn't have-" Seungkwan rambles
"It's fine, I'm glad I saw Vernon. It just proved that I still hate him." I cut Seungkwan off
"But I heard that you still love him." Seungkwan says with a confused face
"I do." I reply
"Oh." Seungkwan was too stunned to say anything else
"But I'm starting to like you now." I say which catches Seungkwan off guard
"You do?!" He blurts out
"Yeah" I laugh at his reaction
"Oh well good because I was going to ask you if you wanted to be my girlfriend but I don't know if you still want to considering what just happened." Seungkwan says while he holds up the flowers
"Yeah, I'll be your girlfriend." I smile brightly then take the flowers from him
Seungkwan smiles brightly at my reply "I'm glad Chan give me your phone number."
I laugh "Chan is going to be excited about the news but he's also going to tell me 'told you so'."
"Of course he would." Seungkwan laughs
