-Next Day-
I walk to the train station and to school by myself.
Ari isn't in first period. I haven't seen Minghao since yesterday. We haven't texted each other so I don't know where we stand.
-A Few Days Later-
I'm in first period, getting my laptop out of my tote bag whenever I notice someone take a seat next to me.
I look up and see Ari getting her laptop out of her bag.
"Ari, you're here." I smile with relief
"Yeah." Ari shyly smiles
"Oh! Here I took some notes for you while you were gone." I say as I pass her my note book
"Thanks Valery." Ari smiles and grabs the note book.
-After 1st Period-
Me and Ari walk out and decide to go to the cafeteria.
We walk to a table and take a seat.
"I'm sorry about what happened and I'm sorry I wasn't there to comfort you. I didn't think you wanted to see me." I say honestly
"It's ok I'm over it and don't stress too much about being there to comfort me. Minghao stayed by my side these past couple of days." Ari smiles
"Right." I nod with small smile
Just then someone pulls out the seat next to Ari. I look up and see Minghao, he doesn't look at me instead he looks down.
"Hey Hao." Ari greets him
"Hey Ari." Minghao says with a smile as he looks at her
I don't say anything to him and he doesn't say anything to me.
Is this how it's going to be?
Not talking to each other.
Ari automatically knows what's up.
"What's wrong with you two?" Ari asks me and Minghao
"Nothing." Minghao replies with a smile to reassure her
I however say and do nothing.
"You're lying. You two are always talking." Ari purses her lips and squints her eyes
"I swear we're fine." Minghao says
"I have to go now." I say as I get up. I'm too annoyed by Minghao lying to Ari that I have to leave.
"Why are you leaving? You still have 5 minutes left before class starts" Ari says trying to get me to stay
"Sorry, I have to get to class early, bye" I say before walking off
-4th Period-
It's the end of 4th period when my phone buzzes in my pocket. I take my phone out of my pocket and unlock my phone.
I see that Ari texted me.
Ari
Hey wanna come over to my house after school?
Valery
Is Minghao gonna be there?
Ari
No, he has something to do so it will be just us :)
Valery
Then yeah I'm down, I'll meet you there. I have to talk to my professor about an up coming project
Ari
Ok see you there :)
Once class is over I talk to my professor and it takes a little longer than expected.
But soon enough I get to Aris house.
I walk up the steps and knock on the door to which Ari quickly opens.
"Hey Valery." Ari exclaims once she sees me
"Hi" I laugh at her excitement
I walk in and she shuts the door behind me. We walk to the living room and that's when I see Minghao sitting on the couch.
My heart starts to beat rapidly once I lay my eyes on Minghao.
"Hao, look who's here!!" Ari holds her hand in front of me
"Hey Valery." Minghao awkwardly says
"Hi." I say with the same energy
"Seriously what's up with you two?" Ari says as she places her hands on her hips
"Nothing, I already told you." Minghao breathes out
"And I told you that you're lying. You two have been acting so awkward and distanced." Ari frowns
"How?" Minghao asks Ari
"Y'all always greet each other with a hug and kiss but now y'all aren't greeting each other or now for example y'all greeting was an awkward hey. Plus Valery is always touching you, touching your hair, touching your face and all that but now y'all haven't even sat next to each other." Ari rants
I sigh in defeat to which Ari quickly catches.
"See and Valery only sighs when something is really bothering her." Ari points to me
Minghao quickly looks at me to which I avoid his eye contact.
"Now tell me, did nothing really happen?" Ari crosses her arms over her stomach
Minghao breaths in "Me and Valery had a little argument then again I don't know if it's really an argument." Minghao breaths out
"About what?" Ari asks
"I don't want to talk about it." Minghao sheepishly says
"Why not?"
"Because this is something between me and Valery."
Ari sighs in defeat "fine." She says as she walks over to the couch and sits next to Minghao
I take a seat on the other couch. We sit in silence before Ari speaks up.
"I'm going to put on a movie." Ari says as she grabs the remote.
Ari puts on one of our favorite movies.
After many movies, I grew tired so I decided to go home.
I get up from the couch and look over at Ari and Minghao. They're sleeping peacefully. Minghao has his arms around Ari while Ari lays her head on his chest.
My heart clinch at the sight.
My eyes start to water.
I grab my bag and walk towards the door. I walk out of the door and slam it shut behind me.
I walk down the side walk until a voice calls out to me.
"Valery wait." A voice too familiar says so I turn around stoping in my tracks.
Minghao comes running towards me.
