Please read this before you go any further.

This act (the next twenty chapters or so) delve deeply into the aftermath of what happens to Maya's mental health after the traumatic end of her fourth year. It focuses heavily on trauma, grief and/or unhealthy coping mechanisms. Darkness will be present in almost all of the chapters. Before you ask, no, I can't skip over this part or just write the normal bits. This section of the story is vital to Maya's character development and the arcs of the other characters around her. I will try my best to represent PTSD and anxiety disorders accurately and not romanticize them as I have may done in the past. These are very serious topics, and I completely understand if you do not want to read further in case it's triggering. So without further ado, here is the list of potentially triggering elements that will be included in my writing from now on (I may have to update this once I start writing):

anxiety/anxiety disorders [ panic attacks & related behavior ]

heavy descriptions of ptsd [ post-traumatic stress disorder ].

unhealthy coping mechanisms [ insomnia, pushing loved ones away ]

nightmares about death [ eg. what happened in the graveyard ]

profanity

moderate alcohol use [mentioned]

questioning of sexuality

questioning of identity

mild violence [ eg: umbridge's blood quill, department of mysteries ]

very mild sexual themes [ brief mentions of sex, not discussed in detail ]

infidelity [ discussed very briefly ]

ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT READ IF IT TRIGGERS YOU IN ANY WAY!
