For the next few days, Jihyuk stuck by Jieun's side 24/7; helping her move around the room, feeding her, keeping track of her medicine intake, so and so. Her mother helped him out a few times; but seeing his determination in taking care of her daughter, she had backed away and watched helplessly and a little bit proud for this man who now felt almost like a son to her, even if she had known him for only these past few days. He had already left her a strong impression ever since the first time she saw him in the hospital. She had gone to the hospital to renew her digestion pills; she had been eating irregularly and ended up having indigestion. She was already out of the pharmacy ward when she saw him running into the emergency room with Jieun in his arms, begging for anyone to help him. At first, she didn't know who he was and who was in his arms; but when she saw that it was Jieun, she had dropped to her knees.

She regained from her shock and dialed for her husband with shaky hands; and that's when Seri had found her on the floor, almost sobbing by the end of the phone call. Seri had helped her up and explained to her what happened. Then she was at her husband's side still sobbing. It was only then that Jieun's surgeon had informed them that Jieun was going to be okay, she had come to her senses and saw him again; this time he fell behind everyone else. When they were all in the hospital room, he was outside but she could see through the door that was ajar, he was looking at Jieun with that broken face of his.

And now seeing him tend to Jieun so tenderly and carefully, she couldn't help but think that compared to all the men that Jieun has ever dated (it is a small number, unsurprisingly), Jihyuk seemed to be the most loving and caring towards Jieun. She couldn't help but think that he would be the last man that Jieun would ever be with, and she had confirmed that when Jieun had fessed up to her saying that she could never love anyone else again.

She was already beginning to imagine what their children would look like; this was not good. She stored it away and turned attention back to the two. Jihyuk was helping Jieun back on the bed after she had gotten out of the bathroom. She watched with a small smile as he tucked her tenderly and watched as they made eye smiles with each other. Jieun's mother had playfully coughed, interrupting them.

"Aigoo. It feels like I'm watching a romance drama," She commented lightly, making Jihyuk blush and Jieun smiled playfully at her mother. "Well, now you know how I feel whenever I'm with you and Appa." She replied. Her mother scoffed playfully, "Please. Your father and I argue more than we make loving faces to each other." She bantered back. Jieun just chuckled at her mother while Jihyuk was smiling at the two of them.

Jieun glanced at Jihyuk and the two caught each other's eye, smiling ear to ear. Her mother caught the look between the two and the corner of her lips automatically drew upwards. She cleared her throat a little and stood up, causing the other two in the room to break their gaze as they turned to her. "Alright, I'm gonna head out for a bit and see what your father is up to," She then looked across to Jihyuk, " And I trust that Jieun is in good hands." Jihyuk offered her a polite smile and nod as she waved at them before leaving the room.

Once her mother left, Jieun turned to Jihyuk and offered him a gentle smile before gathering his hands on her lap. "You should go home and take a rest too, Jihyuk ah. I am more than fine I think I am ready to be discharged right now." She straightened herself and tried to look as convincing as possible. Jihyuk took a good look at her before he said, "You're not going anywhere until you're fully healthy." He finished off with a smile as he stood up from the edge of the bed. She frowned at him but returned his smile. "But still, you have been staying at the hospital as long as I have. You should get a proper shower and rest."

Jihyuk ran a hand through his disheveled hair. He glanced at her before turning his head towards the door, then turned back towards her. "My colleagues, Minhyuk and Junki, are guarding outside the door. Do you need someone to tend you?"
