(Takes place in the end of death canon, tale this is based on will be linked in the comments, wrote short one this to kinda get back into SCP.)

Your arm hurt so much.

During a breach caused by SCP-076-2, you had gotten yourself injured. Your leg was moderately messed up. A D-class and a guard managed carry you out of the facility on time. You looked behind you as other SCP personnel began flooding the containment site with water. You let out a soft sigh of relief, though winced slightly in the sheer amount of pain coursing through your body. "Come on," the guard stated as he lifted you up in his arms, bringing you to the helicopter. The D-class was left behind. The poor man looked afraid, and you honestly felt horrible leaving him like that. "Wait!" You yelled out, causing the guard to stop, along with the MTF that had surrounded the D-class. "Take him with us, he's useful." You could never forget the grateful look the prisoner gave you as one of the MTF cadets dragged him towards you. The guard shrugged and placed you in the helicopter. You hissed in pain as the doctor onboard gently took a hold of your ankle. "I'm surprised you made it out in a good state." he muttered. "It should only take a few months to heal." The guard also climbed in, along with the d-class "What are we gonna do with her?" The guard asked. "We'll take her to site-19," the doctor replied. "They can tend to her injuries there. The exhaustion was catching up to you, along with the pain and mixed emotions. You couldn't die anymore, death did no longer exist. But you could still be subjected to horrific fates.

You awoke on a bed in a medical wing. You hissed at the stinging pain in your ankle and the rest of your body. As you came to, you heard a voice besides you. "Oh my, are you alright?" Your eyes quickly shifted to a dark figure besides you. The form of the man was odd. He looked like a plague doctor, a white mask covered his face. "Yeah.. i'm pretty okay."  You slowly tried to sit up, but he gently pushed you back down. "Come now, there's no need to rush, you just woke up." You allowed yourself to be laid down. "Who are you.., are you an SCP?" you weakly asked him. He let out a humorless chuckle. "Why yes, i am SCP-049, as your foundation calls it." You vaguely remembered a SCP-049, and how he turned people into zombies, calling them cured. "Did.. did you operate on me?" You asked. "Yes, good doctor. It seems they finally took me serious enough to allow this."  You awkwardly nodded. "You seem on edge," 049 commented.

"I can assure, there is no need to be afraid of me."

"No no, it's fine, thank you."

049 looked down at his hands, letting out a soft sigh. "Is everything okay?" you questioned. "I didn't think it were possible." He looked up to face you. "My cure is incomplete, i thought all hope was lost." You could only gave him a weird look as he cleared his throat. "After this.. omega event, as you called it. My cure no longer worked, i was hopeless to watch the pestilence grip around itself once more," he explained. "But you... despite having traces of the disease, it appears it cannot spread further within you." You were both relieved and scared at his statement. "I requested to be the one taking care of you, whilst you were passed out."

049 gently placed his arm underneath your body, placing his hand against your back. He helped you sit up, holding onto you as pain shot throughout your body. "I thought all was lost, and i spiraled downwards into a depression. But you helped me see i cannot just sit down and let it happen." You tried to process all the words he was throwing at you. His other hand gently gripped your shoulder. "Though i am missing a key component of my cure." You finally decided to speak up again. "You mean, the end of death?" His breath hitched when you spoke out the words, gently gripping you. "As your foundation calls it... yes."

An armed guard stepped closer. "SCP-049, your scheduled time is over, come with me." 049 didn't comply as he held onto you ."No, i need to study her, i can't allow the pestilence to take over this individual as well. She is one of the only things i have left, i need to make sure she won't get infected more!" The guard didn't listen and grabbed 049s arm. 049 was struggling as another guard quickly walked in and grabbed the plague doctors other arm. Before he was pulled away his eyes locked with yours.

"We will meet again, good doctor L/n."

(lol this sucked. I kinda wanted to make a whole book with it, or make a part 2, you guys decide)
