Part 11, Original Chapter

"Be safe kiddo." Beidou gave you a small smile as you hopped off the boat. You smiled back. "I will." 

After giving her a small wave you began to head off. Since you didn't have a house to stay in, Wangshu Inn was your only option for now. So that's where you were headed.

It wasn't too long before you reached Wangshu Inn. You walked into the elevator and waited for it to take you up. Wangshu Inn was a building that was basically enter twined with a tree. None the less, it was pretty cool. 

You walked up to the front desk. There Verr Goldet stood. You knew her a little bit from when you lived there.. "Hey Verr."

"Oh! Hello Y/n. What brings you here? I thought you returned to Inazuma." You sighed. "I did, but there was a slight change of plans.." You didn't want to go in detail. She gives a small nod. "No worries! How long will you be staying?" 

You had no clue. You assumed when the Vision Hunt Decree ended, that's when you would return. 

"A week is fine." You had enough mora to stay two weeks. If you needed more, you could just do some jobs for the Adventurers' Guild or something. "1500 mora please." 

(I have no freaking clue what the prices are to stay at Wangshu Inn. I also don't know how the whole getting a room system works. So, I'm probably way off. I apologize lmao)

You grabbed your pouch of mora and gave her the amount. "Your room is number 3, and its that way." She pointed in a certain direction, and you headed there. 

You opened the door and walked in. The room was a pretty decent size. It was very clean too. You sighed and flopped on the bed. You weren't even tired, so you had no clue what to do. 

You sat up to look at the window. The sun was already setting, so you decided to watch. 

You walked over to the window and opened it. You leaned on the windowsill as you watched the sun disappear on the horizon..

I walked out into the forest that night like usual to watch the stars. But it wasn't the same.. 

I couldn't help but think of that night I brought her here.. She seemed so happy. Did I make a mistake with sending her away?

I sighed and leaned against the tree to look at the stars. There was some sort of odd feeling though.. I couldn't help but wonder..

Perhaps we were watching the same stars together. Even if we were far apart..

I'd been sitting at that window for a while. But I just couldn't tear my eyes away from the stars. I was only reminded of that night with Kazuha.. God did I miss him. I wondered what he was possibly doing at this time.. 

Probably watching the stars with me.. He does it every night. 

The thought of him looking at the same stars as me even though we were far apart, was somehow calming.. Or perhaps it was my longing to be next to him.. 

I was snapped from my thoughts when some random maple leaf fell right in front of my window.. I managed to reach out in time and catch it. I sighed and made a small smile. Where it even came from, I had no clue. 

I twirled the leaf around before releasing it back into the soft breeze.. I watched till it was out of sight before closing my window. I finally was tired enough to fall asleep..
