Chapter 18 - First Meet

Ranisa exclaimed seeing her, "Saudamini! What a pleasant surprise". Saudamini touched her feet seeking blessings which Ranisa happily gave. Saudamini said while not meeting her eyes, "My mother asked me to accompany her, Ranisa". Ranisa smiled at her and all of them moved towards her chamber.

Once settled in her chamber, Ranisa asked a maid to arrange for refreshments. Ranisa asked about their health and travel to start the conversation. Later refreshments arrived and all finished their drinks. Meenavathi said, "We tried arriving on time for the function but couldn't make it. Sorry for that, Ranisa".

Ranisa nodded at her accepting her excuse and replied, "No problem, I will arrange for you people to meet Anamika and wish her". At the mention of Anamika, Saudamini felt awkward as well as jealous. Awkward because she has to share her husband with Anamika in future and jealous because Anamika has everything she ever wanted, that is Pratap and his child.

Looking at her gloomy face, Ranisa said, "Don't think about anything else Saudamini. Trust me and follow my instructions, you will get my son soon". Saudamini smiled and said, "Sure Ranisa. I trust you more than anybody else and I will do blindly whatever you say". And that's the quality Ranisa wants in her daughter-in-law, so that she could be below her. And that's what Anamika lacks. Being Submissive.

They had some chit chat for sometime. Then Meenavathi said, "Ranisa! I know that you don't want us to do anything further regarding Saudamini and Yuvraj's marriage, as your bahuranisa is pregnant and shouldn't be stressed. But after delivery, everything is ready for the expedition of yuvraj. So we won't get enough time after that and we don't have any reason to convince yuvraj as well. I think it would be better if we start our work now. With that thought only I came with Saudamini here, so that she can stay her for sometime and try to get yuvraj's attention".

Ranisa thought for sometime and said, "I think you are right. Moreover, this is the time when husband and wife will be distanced, so we should make a move to use it better. But at the same time, we should be careful about not drawing attention of Bahuranisa". Meenavathi was very happy that she was able to convince Ranisa and she can do her own plan without the knowledge of Ranisa.

Ranisa ordered the maids to make arrangements for the stay of Meenavathi and Saudamini, while she particularly mentioned a room for Saudamini nearby yuvraj's chamber. They dispersed from there and went towards their allocated chambers. Saudamini was walking towards her chamber while thinking about Yuvraj whether he will remember her or not.

At that time, she got alerted by the footsteps which were at a distance and so she turned back. It was Yuvraj who was coming from Anamika's chamber after showing the nursery and making her sleep. Saudamini was stunned looking at him. It has been more than ten years since she saw him. And now he is a handsome and powerful man with good physique which made her eyes stay on him without even blinking.

When Yuvraj was a few feets away from Saudamini, he stopped. Saudamini saw him who was looking at her shocked. Both were looking into each others eyes and Yuvraj moved two steps forward and stood in just an arm's distance. Saudamini couldn't look into his eyes which were looking at her mesmerised, so she looked down. She couldn't control her blushing and felt happy for choosing her dress according to his preference.

While she was looking down, she felt a presence beside her and looked up to see no one. Then she turned back to see Yuvraj getting into his chamber which is after hers. She couldn't understand what happened for sometime and when she heard the door of his chamber click closed, she came out of her dream bubble and realized that it was her dream where Yuvraj looked at her and admired her. But in reality, he just walked past her without a second look.

In case of Pratap, he was walking towards his chamber while thinking about Anamika and his kids which made a way for smile on his face. So he didn't properly see who stood on his way. Once inside his chamber, he started his work so that he could complete it before he could help Anamika in dinner.

Saudamini went inside her chamber disappointedly and decided to take rest as they have to meet Anamika later that day. On the other hand, Meenavathi was ready with her next plan to meet with the kitchen maid Mohini and ask about the status of their moves.

As per her plan, Meenavathi met mohini who got scared and said that her master had agreed to work with her but the next plan is yet to be made due to tight security. Meenavathi agreed with that and said, "I have a plan which will totally shook the royal family. They targeted only Ranisa which may not impact much but my plan will make this royal family bleed forever". Saying this Meenavathi asked her to talk with her master regarding the meeting and ordered her to move out of the chamber.
Mohini explained everything to the veiled woman who is unknown to her and left. Then Kamala who is that veiled woman waited for the right time to inform this matter to Anamika as she is resting and her health is very important.

Everybody started their own game and only time will tell who will win.
