The Promised Neverland

I had been sitting in the oak tree for about ten minutes now just re-reading the page over and over again.

'Is it in a friendly way or a lovers way?!'

"Willow! Were are you?! Give me back my book!" I heard the voice of Ray getting closer.

I looked through the leaves and saw him right under me.

He was leaning against the tree and scanning the whole field.

I just had to lose my balance and wobble a little bit.

I mean what kind of story would it be if I didn't?

(Willow! Stop breaking the fourth wall!)

I tilted to the side and tried to hoist myself up but It was a fail.

I fell.

I fell off the branch and through the leaves right onto Ray.

"Oof." I mumbled and I sat up rubbing my head.

I was sitting on the grass with Ray beside me and he had just sat up, rubbing his head.

"Willow?" He asked turning to me.

"U-uh. Hi R-ray-ray." I stuttered out. I still had no idea if this boy liked me.

We both stood up and I brushed off the dirt and leaves on my skirt.

"Were is my book?" He asked venom lacing his speech.

I flinched at the tone.

I could see he really wanted it back to this was the perfect time to do the dare.

I was a blushing mess the whole time said it but went on anyway.

"Y-you have to hug me and t-then I will give it back." I blurted out holding the book behind me and looking to the side.

I couldn't see his face but knew he was probably confused.

'Who am I kidding he probably is just weirded out by me. He probably only sticks around me so I will protect him and his friends.'

I was too focused on my own thoughts to even hear the footsteps approaching me.

I suddenly felt a pair of warm arms wrap around my waist.

"H-huh." I stuttered out confused.

I turned my head back forward and I was know resting on someones shoulder.

I saw a bit of black hair the then knew who it was.

'RAY!'

I had no idea what to do.

This was the only thing they dared me to do! I didn't think he would actually hug me!

I paused for a moment before slowly and hesitantly wrapping my arms around his neck.

I burred my head in his neck and we just stood there for a second.

When he unwrapped him arms from my waist I was upset because I wanted to hug to last longer but I removed my arms from the ravenette's neck.

He held out his hand in front of my and I got really confused.

'Wait is he asking to hold hand-.'

"My book." He said bluntly.

'Oh.'

I sighed in my head for thinking such stupid things.

"O-oh! Right!" I stuttered out.

I walked up to him hand put the book in his hands almost hesitantly as if she wanted to read it more.

"Thanks." Ray just barley mumbled under his breath.

Willow snapped her head towards the male rather quickly.

"Did I just hear a thanks?"

Ray turned red.

"Blimey! you did say thanks!" She said trying out some new words too.

Ray paused and then his blush faded.

"Did you just say blimey?"

.

.

.

This time Willow turned red.

"N-no!"

Then the ravenette did something unexpected.

He.... laughed.

I stood there in awe as I watched the boy laugh.

His laugh was adorable.

My face turned even more red and he started to wipe away his tears from laughing so hard.

He opened his eyes a blinked a couple of times.

I quickly shook my head as if it would get rid of the blush. At least it dimmed down a bit.

-Timeskip-

I walked down the long hall of the house lost in my own thoughts.

'Did Ray mean love as a friend or lover?! AGH! This is so confusing.'

I had resolved with that fact that I need to find it out a few minutes after I had given Ray his book back. Even if solving things wasn't my forte. 

I walked past the dining hall and walked down the next hall.

'If he loves me more then a friend what would I do? Except? I mean I don't know if I'm going to stay here forever! How would I tell him that if he loved me?!'

I dug my nails through my hair in annoyance.

"AGHHHHHH. STUPID BRAIN!!!"

You know when I was writing this chapter I was talking to my friends looking for ideas. She gave me alot! I wanted to thank her for that.
