Two months later,
It was the night of the choir's winter performance at their high school.
"Elaine.." Winnie said when she saw Kendra's mom.
"Oh hey guys." Elaine said
"Roy good to see you." James said
Roy chuckled, "Good to see you too even though we just saw you last night at church." Roy said
James chuckled.
"Where's little James?" Elaine said
"Up front with his friends he wanted to be in the front row." Winnie said as they all sat down along with their other kids and grandkids.
The lights went down, the choir director Mrs Marcum stepped out on stage.
"Welcome parents, family friends and school staff and faculty. We hope you enjoy the show." Mrs Marcum said
The choir sang a few songs together, then Kendra had a solo where she had to sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." Her rendition of the song brought everyone to tears. She and her best guy friend Colton Tanner sang "Beauty and The Beast" together.
When the show was over Bucky hugged and kissed her, "You are amazing." He said
"She is isn't she." Colton said as he came up to them.
"Thanks..both of you." She said
She and Bucky joined their parents. "Oh Kendra you were incredible." Winnie said
"Thank you Winnie." She said
"God blessed my baby." Elaine said as she hugged Kendra
"Thank you mama." She said
Kendra and Bucky left together to hang a bit.
