Three months later,
Kendra was back in Knoxville for the holidays, it was the night of the church's Christmas dinner. Kendra came into the church's activity center.
"Merry Christmas" the pastor said as she greeted him and his wife.
"Merry Christmas to you both." She said as she hugged her mom.
"Its good to see you Kendra.." Winnie said since she was also talking to the group of adults.
She just looked away, and eventually walked away when she found her grandparents. She found Bucky snuggled up to Emma. Kendra looked down when she saw Emma wearing a engagment ring.
After the dinner was over, she went to the sanctuary. Bucky followed her after she threw daggars at him all night.
"Kendra, why are you so mad at me?" He said
"You did not just ask me that?" She said
"Yes I did, I thought this is what you would want?" He said
"Seriously! What I want? No James this isn't what I wanted! What I wanted was to be your wife! Do you not remember us standing up there on that very altar! We made promises! I should of been told you were home! Not be lied to to like I didn't matter for years!." She said
"Kendra, I did what I thought was best! When I came home I wasn't the same person that I was wjen I was left. I was a POW for two years Kendra! I was beaten, tortured and scared for my life! I couldn't even be touched, I couldn't sleep for days! So excuse me for trying to protect you!" He said
"Through the good the bad and the ugly, through sickness and in health we said that. I needed you my husband! But you chose to re enlist, I lost our son, my dad, and you. I wasn't myself anymore, I dropped out of college. But I never lost hope or stopped believing that you would come home to me." She said
"Kendra, I know you were dealing with alot. But I did what I had to do to protect you. You didn't need me showing up the way that I was." He said
"That is such bull crap! I was your wife! I had every right to know that you were home! Not being lied to, and then the bombshell of divorce papers and you being unfaithful." She said
"Kendra Im sorry but this is for the best. I have moved on with Emma." He said
She shook her head at him, "You are dead to me. Cause the James I married wouldn't do this to me. You are not the man that made those vows to me." She said
"Kendra, don't say that." He said
"Dont touch me, I dont know you." She said and walked out.
When she left she didn't see Colton, he went after her.
"Kendra stop.." Colton said
She hugged him, "Please don't say it." She said
He kissed the top of her head, "I won't." He whispered
Bucky joined them, "Kendra can we please finish our talk." He said
"Kendra I will drive you home, I rode with my parents anyways." Colton said
"Kendra.." Bucky said as she went on to her car.
"Haven't you done enough." Colton said as he walked off.
