Walking into work carries a new weight today. You feel like a character in a heist film right before the big steal. You spot Vanessa walking in as well and you share a knowing look, silently communicating the game plan you went over last night. She wasn't at the meeting but when you talked on the phone last night she was on board with the plan. She nods at you and heads for the security room while you walk into the center of the plex. You have to act like everything is normal, a harder feat than you might think. You sign in for the day and grab your clip board to start working on your next event. Of course the work won't last long, the animatronics have already run away. All you have to do is stall till your boss gets here.

You finish your schedule of events and turn it in to your bosses drop box just as you hear the door open. You boss walks in, freshly shaved and in a brand new suit. He's profiting off your friends misery. Any trace of sympathy or doubt you had disappears, this man deserves everything coming to him. Your boss spots you and walks over, "Working hard or hardly working y/n?" he laughs and slaps you on the back.

You force a laugh, "Good one boss. I take it dinner with the execs went well?"

"Of course it did!" You boss declares. With the hand on your back he guides you to start walking, "We ironed out the details for the plex improvements,"

You take a quicker step to get his hand off then turn around, "What did you decide?" even though it won't matter you'd like to know.

"We haven't picked a replacement, but-" You know what he's saying but everything just sounds like static. He actually would have done it, "-so I know you'll be mad but there's no room for debate. You should try to see things from my perspective,"

You almost laugh out loud. See things from his perspective? The same thing he refused to do for you? You put on a sad but reserved expression, "I guess I'll adjust," you sigh and you boss crosses his arms.

"Good, because nothing will change our plans now," he says and turns to leave just as Vanessa bursts through the doors. It's showtime.

"Sir! The animatronics- they're gone!" She shouts, running over at top speed.

"What are you talking about?" Your boss jolts and he starts to twitch nervously. He glares at you, "Did you know about this?"

"Of course not! I'd be half way across town by now looking for them if I did!" you respond and throw your arms into the air dramatically.

"I checked all the cameras, they're not here!" Vanessa sounds so genuinely surprised, maybe she missed her calling as an actress.

"What about the logs? Did they show anything?" You ask frantically and pull up the security cam footage on your fazwatch. You start rolling it back as your boss taps his foot impatiently.

"What was that?" he asks and rips the watch off your wrist to run it back himself. He pauses it to show Sundrop leaping through the front doors.

"His programing glitched, that has to be it," Vanessa zooms in on the image.

"What about the others?" He goes back further and pauses, this time it's Monty climbing through a window. He keeping looking, and with each run away animatronic his face turns more red until he starts to resemble a beet.

"I don't even know what to say..." You whisper, shaking your head in mock confusion.

"Well I know what to say! What the hell?" You boss screams and stomps his feet like a child throwing a tantrum, "We need their memory chips! We don't have a show without them!"

Vanessa rolls her eyes when the boss isn't looking then speaks, "If the executives find out about this we'll loose our jobs,"

Your boss stops cursing and his red face turns white as a ghost. His hands are sweaty and he wipes them on his suit, "They can't find out about this. We have to do something... you two have to do something!" he points at you and Vanessa.
