Solace is staring up at the sky. The pretty, pretty blue sky.
Why am I staring at the sky? In a forest? Why am I on the ground?
Solace can't move though. She can't do anything but look up at the sky, watching as the clouds pass by like the questions in her head. The last thing she remembers is smiling and laughing with Jackson on the plane to Boise. Jackson was telling her all about Boston, how when they get back maybe they could go look around Boston and Penn together, see where they will be spending their fellowships.
And now, now Solace is on the ground, staring up at the sky. The pretty blue sky.

Jackson see's Mark above him, shaking the young man awake. He sits up, looking around him at the damaged plane, hearing someone screaming. His mind supplies that he was in a plane crash, but he can't say anything, can't do anything, but look around at the damage. Mark is saying something to him, but Jackson can't hear him, not through the haze. His mind supplies that he's probably in shock, but again, he can't say anything, can't do anything.
He doesn't know how long he sits there, listing to the screaming and staring at the destruction of the plane he was in, the plane that crashed, but somehow, through either his survival instincts kicking in, or pure adrenaline, he get's up, looking around.
"Solace." He says, his voice hoarse and cracking. "Solace." He says louder. He looks over to Mark who is watching him, a dazed look on his face Jackson is sure mirrors his own. "Where's Solace?" Jackson questions, "Mark, where is she? Where's Solace?"
"Derek!" Meredith screams, walking over to Mark and Jackson, a stunned Cristina following her, "Where's Derek?"
"I can't find Lexi." Mark whispers.
Cristina looks around, "I lost my shoe. I lost my shoe."
"Where is Solace?" Jackson asks them, "Where is she?"

Sitting up, Solace looks around. She's alone, alone with nothing but fragments of what she assumes is parts of the plane, scattered around. She feels like her skin is on fire, like it's ripping apart from her body. Looking over to her left shoulder and arm, she see's how burned it is.
Solace swallows her cry as she looks away, trying to will her mind to forget what she saw. She shakily stands, trying her hardest to keep her breathing under control.
"Jackson." She whispers, her throat raw and burning. She looks around, but can't find anything. Can't see anyone around her. She doesn't even realize the tears rolling down her face, can't even feel them as she stumbles, taking a few steps from where she was just laying, whispering out the only thing on her mind, "Jackson."
***
The banging the four surgeons heard was Lexi, underneath the wing. It takes everything in Jackson not to throw up from seeing her like that. Cristina and Mark stay with her as Jackson and Meredith continue to walk the forest around them, calling out for the other two loved ones that are still missing.
