Later that night:
Dante: hey baby, how was work ?
Hazel: stressful as usual( sits her purse down ) I got something I wanna talk to you about once I get out the shower
Dante: everything okay ?
Hazel:oh yeah it's nothing bad
Dante pov: Hazel went in the bathroom and took her shower and got ready for bed. Once she came out, she slid in the bed and cuddled up in my arms. I could tell something was on her mind.
Dante: so wassup mamas?
Hazel: how would you feel about another baby ?
Dante: you pregnant ?
Hazel: no, I have this three year old who's case I been working on for a few months and we bond so well. She doesn't want to be around anybody but me. I can't find her a placement and I really wanna help her baby. I know how it feels to be that young in the system. It's breaking my heart.
Dante: you wanna foster her ?
Hazel: or adopt. I just wanna help her so bad baby(sighs) I want her out the system
Dante:( smiles) let's do it, let's adopt her
Hazel:( shocked ) Dante you serious?
Dante: yes, I know it's not easy being in the foster care system especially as a baby. I see how it affected you and I know you wanna help her, imma support you in that.
Hazel: kisses him) thank you baby !
Dante: smiles) you ain't gotta thank me bae
Hazel: once I get to work tomorrow I'll talk to my boss and figure out the next steps,
Most likely you'll have to get a background check and possibly do training like we do most foster parents but the process should be very simple
Dante:(nods ) okay, just let me know
Hazel: smiles) you realize once we finalize everything you'll have 3 girls to boss you around ?
Dante: starts laughing ) aww man, you and Halo already think y'all run me
Hazel: cause I do you know that (smirks)
Dante:(licks his lips) nah nah you know who in charge. Big daddy run this
Hazel: okay Mr. toe curler
Dante: laughs) you ain't even have to go there
Hazel: (yawns) I did tho, I'm so tired , it was a long day
Dante: rubbing his hand along her back) gone to sleep, i been watching your eyes roll every since you got in the bed.
Hazel: I cant , my mind has a thousand things on it
Dante: well you can't worry about those thousand things right now ( turning off the lamp) think about all that stuff tomorrow
Hazel pov: I was so damn tired, I been working myself so much. I've been making sure I spend time with the twins when I get home and spending time with bae. I try to cook every other day. Dante tells me not to worry about all that stuff but I don't want to neglect my family all because of work. Hopefully I get back in the swing of things and my work load lightens up.
