Hazel: where is she ? Is she okay ?(walking over to Diana )
Diana: they're still checking her out
Hazel: what happened ?
Diana: she was playing with the other kids and then just dropped, we couldn't get her to wake up right away
Hazel: oh my god (packing back and forth )
Diana: Hazel calm down she's gonna be fine, think positive
Hazel: she's just a baby, with no family around her she's scared out of her mind I know it ( tearing up) I just wanna be there with her
Diana: Hazel do not panic, we got to believe she's going to be fine. She's a strong little girl
Hazel pov: we watched through the window as the doctors checked Aaliyah out. They told us that they needed to run a lot of test to figure out a true diagnosis. Aaliyah was giving them a hard time so I went into the room. I got in the bed and laid her on my chest and that seemed to calm her down. With her relaxed the were able to draw her blood, do a bed side X-ray and hook her up to an IV. I hope she will be okay.
A couple hours later:
Dante: how is she doing?
Hazel: she's sleeping right now, still waiting for a lot of her test results to come back
Dante: she's gonna be okay baby
Hazel:Sniffs) I hope so
Dante: need me to come be with y'all? I can have my mama watch the twins
Hazel: no baby it's fine, you get some rest okay
Dante: you too, at least while the doctors not bothering yall.
Hazel: I'll try
Dante: I mean it, you've rarely slept in days
Hazel: I know, (sighs) imma try and take a nap . I'll call you if something else happens
Dante: alright bye bae
Hazel: bye papa
(They hang up. Diana walks in the room.)
Diana: I just got off the phone with Alana and I have some good news
Hazel: which is ?
Diana: they are dismissing Dante's criminal history since he did serve his time and it was the only thing on his record plus it was not child related, so we're good to go with the adoption process once little mama gets better
Hazel: seriously, omg(smiles)
(The doctor knocks on the door and walks in)
Doctor: hi ladies, so Aaliyah's test results are back and we see that she has an atrial septal defect and that is means she has a hole between her upper heart chambers and only surgery will fix it
Hazel: surgery ? Omg
Doctor: we will take very good care of her
Hazel: the surgery will fix it for good? It won't come back ?
Doctor: it won't come back,the surgery has a good success rate
Hazel: we can we do it ?
Doctor: 10am
Hazel: okay
Doctor; we gave her some medicine that will keep her kind of groggy for now and we'll be checking in on you guys
Hazel: thank you
Hazel pov: once the doctor left Diana decided she would go home and get some rest. Dante was on his way to come up here once he dropped the twins off to his mama. I can't believe. Aaliyah needs surgery. I'm praying everything goes well.
