I was looking at the snow beneath my boots and dusted snow off my outfit while Carlisle was trying to talk to Aro.

"Aro, let us discuss things like we used to. In a civilised manner." I hear Carlisle say

"Fair words Carlisle, although a bit out of place given the battalion you have assembled against us." The answering voice, presumably Aro's, made shivers run through my body. His voice like honey to my ears.

"I promise you, that was not my intent." Carlisle pleaded, his voice pleading and slightly shaky - scared for his mate and family, "No laws have been broken."

"We see the child! Do not treat us as fools!" Someone snapped, presumably one of the other kings - either Marcus or Caius. Even when angered his voice had a softened quality to it presumably from a rough human life - I actually felt bad for him?

"She is not an immortal!" Carlisle shouted "These witnesses can attest to that." He paused for a moment, "Or you can look, see the flush of human blood in her cheeks."

"Artifice!" The second king snapped, I finally looked up to see it was the blond one - Caius - who was making such accusations upon my family. Aro held his hand up, staring down his brother.

"I will collect every aspect of the truth." He spoke to Caius before turning back to us, "Edward." He practically whispered, I winced at the promise in his tone, "As the child clings to your new born mate, I assume, you are involved."

Eddie grimaced as he walked towards the kings. I used Bells shield - only enhanced - to protect him from all mental attacks but Aro's. Aro gasped as he finished reading Eddie's mind. He spoke to him.

"I'd like to meet her."
