Meeting Each Other

"Kill the sun." I mumble as I try and retreat beneath the blankets that me and Marinette stole from around the house as I could feel her copying my actions as she was soon snuggled up to me as we try and hide from the mean sun. Curse me for forgetting to close the curtains.

"Girls, it is almost twelve in the afternoon. You both need to get up. Is this really how you want to spend a Saturday?" Mom asks us.

"I love you, but what kind of question is that? If your husband is asleep right now, then we have no reason to be awake." I counter as I can fell Marinette nodding along.

"DO NOT DRAG ME DOWN WITH YOU! I WOKE UP AT EIGHT TO DO WORK, AND I AM TAKING A NAP NOW! TIME FOR YOU TWO TO GET UP!" Jack shouts from somewhere in the house as me and Marinette let out a groan of defeat knowing that we had to get up now. As we get up both of us had bedhead that was out of control before we both laughed at each other for how the other looked.

"I heard a lot of laughter in here last night. Did you girls have fun?" Mom asks as both me and Marinette just bust out laughing from the movies and other stuff we watched last night. "I will take that as a yes. Anyways Marinette, your mom called and said she needs you down at the bakery so you should probably get dressed now and head that way. I am glad you got to come over again."

"BEFORE YOU LEAVE GIVE ME THE CANDY! YOU TWO STOLE ALL OF IT FROM THE KITCHEN LAST NIGHT!" Jack shouts which makes me smile knowing I could tease him.

"I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO TAKE A NAP?" I shout back at him while Marinette tries to hold in her laughs as she gets dressed and fixes her hair.

"I KNOW THAT IF I DO NOT GET THEM NOW THEY WILL FOREVER BE HIDDEN IN THAT ROOM! COME ON MARINETTE! I LIVE WITH HER 24/7, YOU GOT TO SHOW ME A LITTLE KINDNESS!" Jack pleas to Marinette who gave in and went to retrieve the hidden candy.

"RUDE!" I shout at Jack knowing that he was playing around but it was our playful banter. Both me and her walk to the kitchen to put the candy back not even bothering to fix my room since it is still the weekend and I don't want to fix it yet. "Travel home safely pigtails. Don't be a stranger." I say softly as I hug her and see her out the door but before I could close it she comes back and hugs me again tighter and longer which confuses me but I hug her back non the less.

"You are a great friend you know that? I could not be happier to have someone like you in my life." Marinette whispers to me as I was now very confused as she gave me one last hug and went to the bakery as I stood at the door completely dumbfounded as to why she would say that.

"(Y/n), get inside sweetheart." My mom calls me as I do as told and close the door and head to the living room. "You were at the door longer than usual. Did you and Marinette have a little chat before she left?"

"Uh, something like that I guess. I'm in my mess of a room if you need me." I say calmly as my mom shouts for me to clean my room. I start to put back the couch cushions, pillows, and blankets as soon it was my room again, just less of a mess, but some of a mess regardless since I never clean up properly. As I went to grab my laptop from last night, something shiny caught my attention. It was in the corner that I made for Tikki. Confused I went over to Tikki's corner and saw the Ladybug miraculous and a note.

With my hands shaking I took the note first and read what it said. After I finished reading it, I was just stumped, confused, a lot of emotions at one time that I did not know how to process. Looking back at the earrings, I slowly went to grab them and as I put them in one of my piercings now wearing two pairs or earrings, Tikki immediately flew out and I looked to her as she looked to me and she immediately flew into my chest and started crying as I held the emotional kwammi.
