21. it bend right to your wind

Kai watched they played standing besides Esme and Bella.
Kai watched his girlfriend in amazement, she was so elegant and fast.
He watched her swings the bat in an inhuman like speed. He lost her as she ran, not being able to see her through the blinding speed.

Kai saw Rosalie slide over base and the others all glanced at his twin who was giving the shots

"Out" Bella declared, Rosalie glared at the girl standing up

"Come on Rose, it's just a game" Emmett called trying to ease the tension

"Nice Kitty" Carlisle jokes as Rosalie walks past him

Kai smiled at the vampire walking towards him. He wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her head

"That was hot" he whispers in her ear, the vampire looks down flustered

"Rosalie, come on!" Bailey whine, Rosalie and Kai chuckle and she goes back to the game.

"You guys are so cute" Esme coed

"Thanks" he blushes locking eyes on Carlisle who stood by the base.

The ball came rushing as a speed which Kai couldn't see. He watched the blonde doctor start to run and followed his eyesight to the ball which both Emmett and Edward tried to catch bumping into each other and falling to the floor laughing.
Carlisle made it to the base before the ball because of the mishap that the boys caused.

Kai watched his sister shiver and took off his own jacket handing it to her. She raised her brows worrying about him

"I'm fine" he promises, the brunette nods and puts the jacket on.

Kai wraps his arms around his body going back to watching the game.

Bailey now stood on the base, she swung the bat back and winked at her husband waiting for her sister to through the ball.
Bailey nodded to Alice who smirks throwing the ball at full speed towards her. Bailey swung the bat making a loud crack. Kai flinched slightly at the loud sound but watched in amazement as Bailey made her way from base to base without the ball or the catchers in sight.

Jasper walked towards the pitch smirking and winking at his wife. He swung the bat backwards in a very dramatic way. Kai shook his head smiling at the pair which he knew worked perfectly together.

Alice throw the ball at the husband who swung the bat making contact with the ball and making a loud thunder clap.
He dropped the bat and starts running. The ball soared through the woods. Emmett and Edward were about to dash for the ball. Alice stopped them by yelling

"Stop!" everyone stopped their movements. Both Edward and Alice's face held worry and fear. The others faces followed soon and Rosalie went straight to Kai's side. She pulls him towards her as close as possible scared for his life.
"They were leaving, then they heard us"

"Lets go" Edward says grabbing Bella as Rosalies goes to do the same.

"It's too late" Carlisle stops them making Rosalie growl under her breath

"Get your hair down" Edward instructs Bella who quickly follows

"Like that will help, i could smell her from across the field" Bailey scowls "At least Kai smells more of Rosalie than himself" she adds making Rosalie pull Kia closers than though possible.

Three figures emerged from the tree lines. Kai scanned each of the approaching figures holding onto Rosalie tighter.
"You'll be okay" Rosalie whispers but more to herself

The man in the middle was dark skinned with beautiful dreadlocks, his eyes a dark red which bared the blood of his victims.

The man besides him and long blonde hair tied into a pony at the back of his head. He looked wilder than the first, almost rapid. He looks like he would attack without a second though if the smell of blood hit his nose.

And finally the girl to the dark skins other side, her hair was as red as flames which could catch attention from a mile away. Her face held beauty but not in the way of Rosalie, she had more of the beauty which you'd find on the poster of a movie. But her eyes was what drew Kai, her eyes was red, wild, scary. Her eyes were the kind you saw on wild animals getting ready to attack.

Kai pulled himself closers to Rosalie closing his eyes and putting his face in her neck to inhale her scent which always seemed to calm him.

"I believe this belongs to you" the man in the middle says throwing the ball at Carlisle who caught it without problem.

"Thank you" Carlisle says politely

"I am Laurent, this is Victoria and James." he introduced each, and with knowing their names it frightened Kai more.

"I'm Carlisle, this is my family" the look of shock on their faces when Carlisle said family made Kai look at them curiously
"I'm afraid your hunting activities has caused something of a mess for us"

"Our apologies. We didn't know the territory was claimed" Laurent said kindly with a hint of a French accent

"Yes, well we maintain a permanent resident" Carlisle tells them

"Really?" Laurent asks amused "Well, we won't be a problem anymore. We were just passing through"

"The humans were tracking us but we lead them East. You shock be safe" Victoria spoke for the first time, her voice alluring

"So, could you use three more players?" Laurent asks, he picked up on Carlisles hesitation and pushed on "Come on, just one game"

"Sure why not? A few were leaving you can take their place" Carlisle looks at Edward and Rosalie who nods "We'll bat first" the blonde threw the ball towards Laurent but Victoria caught it with a wild smirk

"I'm the one with the wicked curve ball" she taunts making the boys ooh

"Well, i think we can handle that" Jasper said is accent coming out thick

The vampires all chuckled about the situation going to play the game. Rosalie pulls Kai with her.

They were almost out of the situation when a wind blew passed, rustling Bella's hair and sending the twins scent towards the vampires.

James immediately reacted sniffing the air, he stepped forward ready to eat both of the two.
"You brought snacks"

Rosalie pushes Kai behind her Edward doing the same with Bella. The Cullens all stood protectively in front of the humans.

"They're with us. i think it's best if you leave" Carlisle spoke calmly but firm

"I see this game was over. We will go now" Laurent said backing away "James!" he warns when James doesn't budge.

James locked eyes with Rosalie sending her a wicked smirk before turning around and following his coven.
