24. As if you were

Kais hand held tightly onto Bella's as they're walked through the doors leading them inside the ballet studio.

They walked to the direction that they heard their mothers voice. The twins glance at each other before pulling open the wooden cupboard doors.

"Shit" Kai curses sees a home recording
Kai spins on his heels as he hears a sound behind him, he gasps seeding James behind him.

"That's my favorite part" he says referring to the video "you were a stubborn child weren't you." the blonde male walks towards them and caresses Bella's cheek making Kai pull her behind him

"She's not even here" Bella say

James pushes the two against the wall sniffing them. He smirked down at Kai.

"Oh, but you made it too easy" he says his cold breath on Kai's face making him cringe
"So, to make this more entertaining, i'm gonna make a movie about our time together. I brought this from your house" James pulls out a camera

Kai recognizes it as the camera his mother forced him to entertain as a child.

"I hope you don't mind" he chuckled, James hold the camera to their faces "And...action" he presses the button making a clink sound in the silence.

"Oh, it will break Edwards little heart" the psycho says pointing the camera mainly at Bella

"You... Edward has nothing to do with this!" bella shouts but James pushes her against the wall harshly. Kai tries to push the vampire off his sister but James just laughs

"His rage will make for a more interesting game. And lets continue"

James smirks at Kai pushing him to the floor

"I got other plans for you" the vampire said making Kai tremble

Meanwhile Bella whips out pepper spray and sprays it at the vampire. Kai takes in a deep breath hoping that she would get away even if that meant he wouldn't.

Kai noticed James nostrils flare and jumped to his feet standing in front of the vampire who was going to attack his sister. James shook his head and shoved Kai hardly making the boy collide with the wall and fall down hissing i pain.
He was sure he broke a rib or two

James than grabs Bella and pulls her down making her skid across the floor, and hit her head on the wall.

"Beautiful. Very visually dynamic" James says walking towards the brunette girl with the camera
James kneels before her and grabs her wrist "To bad he didn't have the strength to turn you. instead he kept you this fragile little human, it's cruel really" James pushes down on Bella leg snapping her bone making a disgusting sound as Bella screamed in pain
"Tell Edward how much it hurts. Tell his to avenge you. Tell him!" James says

"No, Edward, don't" Bella hissed through the pain

Kai painfully made his way to his feet and ran at the vampire pushing all his body weight into him. James falls to the floor with a shocked expression

James pushed Kai off him sending the boy flying through the air and hitting the wall with a loud thud.

"Again" Kai whined trying to stand but failing badly

James goes back to his torment to Bella. Holding the camera again

"Now tell him! Tell him!" the vampire shouts. A figure jumps through the window and pushes James away from Bella.

The two vampire fight as Kai tries to keep up happy that someone came to the rescue.

"You're alone, cause you're faster than the other. But not stronger." James says holding Edward by the throat

"I'm strong enough to kill you." Edward says pushing James off him and sending the vampire flying.

Edward runs to Bella and scoops her into his arms, his eyes lock on Kai's who nods

"Save her please" the boy mouthed

Edward nodded and pushed off the ground only for James to grab him and pull the couple down. Bella falls into glass and Kai hisses trying to stand to get to his sister, to do something.

James walks to Bella and takes her wrist in his hand and pulling it to his mouth. He sunk his teeth into her making Bell scream as well as Kai who now had a bite mark forming on his wrist as well.

He looked down at his wrist in pain and confusion. He had no idea where it came from and why it was in the space in which he saw James bit Bella.

Kai looks up at the sudden noises when he sees more of the Cullens arriving. He smiles faintly and falls to the ground.

A cold hand presses to his face and an angelic voice calls his name. He opens his heavy eyes and smiles at the blonde above him.

"You came" he mumbles breathless

"Always" the angel says placing a kiss on top of his head and starting to check him for wounds

Kai looked at the others fighting James at looks to his girlfriend with a confused look
"Shouldn't you be helping them?" he questions half asleep

"You're all that matter" she says, he nods closing his eyes "Kai, Kai, stay with me Malachai" she says

Kai smiles at her "I love when you say my name." he slurred his words sounding almost drunk "You are the only person who can call me that"

Rosalie smiles a small smile at him and nods "Keep talking baby" she says

"Where Bella?" Kai says suddenly remembering her and trying to sit up

Rosalie pushes him down gently "Carlisle is with her" Kai nods "I'm gonna get you out of here" she promises

"Rosalie?" Kai says

"Yes Kai?" she asks tearing a piece of clothing and wrapping into around his waist to keep his ribs in place

Kai hisses but continues talking "Will you go to the dance with me?" Rosalie let's out a breathless chuckle "I wanted to ask you sooner but you know the whole psycho vampire trying to kill me, so what do you say?" he says

"I'd love to Kai" she kisses his forehead making him pout

"You should kiss lower" he advices. Kai suddenly hisses in pain making Rosalie look at him worried

"Malachai, what's wrong?"she asks

"My...my wrist" he gets out, Rosalie looks to his wrist and her eyes widen at the bite marks.

"James bit you" she whispered in horror

Kai shook his head "No, he bit Bella" Kai pointed to his sister who was getting her arm sucked by Edward "That looks weird" he says

"Kai, what do you mean?"

"I mean... he bit Bella and boom so am i"
Kai says blood loss getting to him

"Kai... what?" Rosalie says but it's too late at Kai passed out and all he sees his black, faintly hearing voice around him.
