Selena rubbed her forehead as she impatiently waited for a call from the boy she was hopelessly crushing on. It was driving her mad. Selena glanced up when the waitress brought her plate of food. She gave the lady a smile as the lady left a scowl on her face, it was nearing midnight and the place was supposed to close soon and she was the only person sitting there, well except for the girl who also looked like she was wallowing in her own self-pity.
"Rough day?" Selena asked the girl popping a fry into her mouth
The girl looked at her with a blank expression and shrugged.
"Not one to talk?" Selena asks raising a brow "Well, we both look like we just got dumped so might as well spill"
The girl with short brunette hair scoffs "I came here for peace and quiet, not for some inconsiderate girl to try and get into my business"
Selena chuckles amused "I guess hard year then" the girl just rolled her eyes "So were you also left on read?"
The girl closed her eyes taking in her a deep breath, Selena could vaguely see her body shaking slightly. The girl pushed her chair back and stormed out of the diner.
Selena raises a brow at the door in which the girl stormed out of and sighed, she took a sip of her milkshake and glanced down at her phone. Still no messages from Malachai Swan.
She heard the Cullens were back and she knew about Kai's history with the blonde one but she never expected him to just forget she ever existed. The night they went out she felt a connection, she felt as if she could actually find herself opening up to this boy. He seemed different he didn't seem like he other, but as all men do he disappointed her.
Putting some money on the table she stood and walked out the door. The waitress from early quickly flipped the sign to closed and glared at the girl before turning on her heels and walking off. Selena rolled her eyes as carried on walking to her car.
The next day when Selena woke up she had to go to the shop to get groceries. Pulling up to the local supermarket she took a cart and walked around. She dumped a lot of chocolates and bags of chips into her cart. Walking down the isle with the freezers she stops in front of the ice-cream and stares at it debating whether or not she wanted it. She narrowed her eyes at the rocky road and ended up taking it. She walked through the isle and stoped when she knocked into someone.
She looked up, eyes wide "I'm so sorry" her eyes fell on the girl from last night. And to say she looked pissed.
"Watch where you're going" the girl growled making Selena nod
"I said i'm sorry" Selena repeated "It was an accident you don't have to be rude about it." she whispers
"Whatever" the girl rolled her eyes
"Look, i really am sorry" she said "I didn't mean to bump into you"
"Just leave it" the girls brown eyes met Selena and she froze, almost as if in a daze
"Hello?" Selena said trying to get the girls attention, but the girl just stared "Are you okay?"
The girl shook her head breaking out of her trance and stormed off out of the supermarket.
Selena frowned "That was" she stared at the girls retreating figure tilting her head "weird"
When Selena got home Elle sat on the couch, her roommate looked up when she walked in and frowned
"He still didn't call" Elle guessed, the brunette nodded "Sorry"
"It's whatever i guess" Selena shrugs
Elle offered her a smile "So i was invited to go to La Push beach by some coworkers" she pauses bitting the corner of her lip "And i was wondering to take your mind off things..if you might want to go?"
Selena raised an unimpressed brow and shook her head "Nope"
"Oh come on Lena it will be so fun" Elle begged "Please?" she showed puppy dog eyes
Selena let out a frustrated groan "Fine. But if i get hypothermia you're dead" she pointed her finger at her best friend who smiled nodding
After getting ready Elle and Selena set off to go to La Push. They arrived at the beach and Elle saw her coworkers. The duo joined her friends and introduced themselves
"Lena this is Ben, Jace, Bridget and Marley" Elle introduces "Guys this is my best friend Selena" they all said hello and got to talking.
Selena sat on the sand talking to Marley when Jace got a brilliant idea
"Let's go hiking" he grinned, everyone immediately agreed accept for Selena who shook her head with a smile
"Sorry, i don't hike and plus i don't have the right shoes" she motioned to her flip flops "But you guys can go without me" she suggests, they nod
"As long as it's cool with you?" Marley ask, Selena nods
The others make a plan to go and start getting ready when Elle comes to Selena with a worried expression
"Are you sure?" Elle asks her best friend
Selena smiles "Yes i'm sure. Go have fun" she says "And Jaces is so cute" Selena whispers in Elles ear who turns bright red
"I know right" the two giggle
Elle and her friends set off to go hiking. Selena lays down on the blanket. She puts on her sunglasses and bathed in the rare bit of sunlight that this town provided.
"Are you following me?" a voice said from above her. Selena opens her eyes and frowns at the girl from the diner and supermarket
"What?" she asks confused
"You're everywhere" the girl states "So are you stalking me?"
Selena sat up and smirked "I could ask you the same thing"
"Well I'm not" the girl says
"That's what a stalker always says" the brunette grinned
"So i'm a stalker?" the girl ask
"Yep" Selena answers "I'm Selena" she says to the mysterious girl
