A bright light shone in Kais eyes woke him up. His eyes flutters open. Besides the light the first thing he noticed was the beeping of the machines which he was hooked onto. Kai looked up and sees the ceiling which he knew didn't belong in his rooms, he looked to the right to see Bella sleeping in the chair, her head was handing down and her arms wrapped around her middle, there was a plaster on her forehead. Kai looked towards the door and saw a nurse sitting behind the desk on the phone.
Kai looked back towards his sister and smiled slightly. She still cared.
"You're awake" Kai almost jumped out of his skin, he looked to the door where he's father stood with a foam cup in his hand. Charlie's eyes were red from crying and he was still in his uniform. "How you feeling?" Charlie asks
"I'm okay" Kai says his voice husky and dry
"Let me get the doctor" Charlie says leaving the room and coming back with the doctor
"Hello. I'm Doctor Hilburt" The lady smiled "How are you feeling Malachai?" Dr Hilburt asks
"A little sore" He says, and honestly his left side and head were killing him
"Ah yes, you will be for a few days" Kai sees from the corner of his eyes as his sister stirs and wakes up. Bella looked surprised to see Kai awake, she smiled at him standing and coming to stand besides his bed.
"Do you remember what happened?" The doctor asks, Kai furrows his brows and feels his sister take his hand and give it a comforting squeeze
"I...i was in an accident" Kai says, Dr Hilburt nods
"You took quite the hit" she comments giving him a smile "I'll be back" she says before leaving
The room was quiet, the sound of the machine were the only sound.
"I'm sorry" Kai broke the silence
"Why are you sorry?" His father asks
"I was...it was my fault" Kai admits "I wasn't paying attention to the road"
"Hey, it's okay" Charlie assures "No one else was hurt"
"And my car?" Kai asks his heart beating fast, it was the last thing he had of Rosalie and now that was gone too
"Took quite the hit." a familiar voice says by the door, Kais head snaps up and his eyes widen when they land on the blonde "I don't think it can be saved" she smiles softly
"We'll give you two a minute" Charlie says dragging Bella out of the room
"You're back?" Kai speaks, Rosalie walks further into the room to stand besides him
"Yeah. It's just me though." she crosses her arms over her chest "When..when i hears what happened i needed to know that you were alright" Rosalie closes her eyes
