A day of stress and anxiety later. Bella walked into the house making both Charlie and Kai swarm her with questions.
"Where the hell were you Isabella?" Charlie asks making Kai raise his brow crossing his arms over his chest
"I-it's complicated" Bella stutters
"Complicated?" Charlie scoffs "I was worried sick! Your mother was worried sick" he rubbed his forehead "You really couldn't call?"
"I-i left a letter" she argues
"A letter Bella?" Charlie rolls his eyes "A letter Bella is not conformation that you weren't dead!"
"I'm not dead"
"Well we know that now" Kai buts in
Bella glares at her twin brother "Can-can we just not. I'm tired"
"Fine, but you're grounded young lady" Charlie points at her before storming off
Kai stood in front of Bella, he motioned for her to hug him because it was a little hard for him to move with his crutches. Bella hugged her brother, she rested her head in his shoulder and sighed. She felt safe.
"I'm so happy you're okay" Kai whispers
"Yeah." Bella whispers back "I got to him just in time"
"He's okay?" Kai asks making Bella nods. "I'm glad. What happened?" the twins pull out of the hug
Bella explains to him what happened with the Volturi. When Bella finished explaining what happened Kai hugs his sister again.
"It's late" he says "Go to bed. You look exhausted"
"I need to do one more thing" she says "And i need you with"
"What do you need Bella?" Kai asks, Bella just gives him a look with an innocent smile.
Bella dragged Kai to the Cullen house where she had the vampires waiting. They walked through the house and Rosalie was immediately at Kais side.
Kai stood besides Rosalie. Alice was in Jaspers arms and Bailey stood to the side against the wall with her arms crossed, Emmett stood near his wife with his arms also crossed. Bella stood in front of them with Edward a little behind her on the stairs.
"You all know what i want" Bella says "And i know how much i'm asking for, the only think i can think of for it to be fair is to just vote."
"You don't know what you're talking about" Edward says but Bella shushes him
"Alice?" Bella asks the vampire
Alice walks forward "I already consider you my sister" she hugs her, making Bella walk down the stairs "Yes"
"Thank you." Bella says
"Yes. It will be nice to not want to kill you all the time" Jasper speaks stiffly
Kai frowned, he didn't want to lose his sister. Well he wouldn't lose her but he would not be able to be around her for a while until she fully learned control. He knew that most would vote yes.
Kai did think of becoming a vampire himself but he found it selfish, especially to Rosalie who didn't want that for him. She was already sacrificing everything to he with him and to ask her to do that. To turn him even though it would most likely hurt the Cullens more as they had the pact with the wolves.
"I'm sorry" Bailey spoke "I'm really sorry to both of you for how i've acted and i'm really grateful that you were brave enough to go and save my brother. But this isn't a life i would have chosen for myself. And i wish that there was someone who would have voted no for me." Bailey pauses "So no"
"I vote hell yeah" Emmett says stepping forward and picking Bella up into a hug spinning her around "We can pick a fight why these Volturi some other way" he puts her down
"I vote no" all eyes turned to Rosalie who looked at Bella with sympathy "I'm sorry. I didn't want this life. I'm sorry"
"Don't you want Kai to..." Bella trailed off
Rosalie shook her head "As much as i would like to have forever i don't want this for him either" Bella nodded understandingly
All eyes then fell on Kai "Do you really want this?" he asks his sister his jaw clenched, Bella nodded "Then yes. I want you to be happy Bella and if being a vampire makes you happy" he smiled at her
"Thank you" Bella approaches her brother and hugged him
Bella stepped back again
"I already consider you part of the family" Esme says, she nods "Yes"
Carlisle steps forward he looks to his son who was now leaning against the wall his eyes held pain
"Why are you doing this to me?You know what this means." he asks his adoptive father
"You've chosen not to live without her which leaves me no choice ,i won't lose my son." Carlisle says, he then turns to the other human/vampire duo "And i am extremely sorry for the decisions that i have made with hurt the two of you"
Kai and Rosalie made eye contact.
"I'm sorry" Edward also spoke "It was selfish of me to put your happiness at stake because of my fears" Kai nods "I hope that my choices and decisions doesn't cost the both of you your happiness."
Neither Rosalie nor Kai answered.
Rosalie drove Kai home and helped him to his room, she sat down on his bed.
"Will we be okay?" she asks
"Hopefully" Kai answers "We can try" he adds
"Try" Rosalie agrees "I can't wait to call you mine again" she smiles
"I know" Kai nods
Rosalie stands and walks to the door, she steps out and turns back to him "I love you Kai" she closes the door
