Xingqiu POV:

I sat there for a moment, trying to think of how to respond. Do I accept his offer? Do I decline? After a moment of thinking, I felt a raindrop fall down the back of my shirt, bringing me back to reality,

"Uh.. won't you be cold?" I asked,

"Don't worry about me; I have more layers than you, plus your shirt is gonna go see-through if it gets wet." he smiled,

I returned his smile and took the jacket, putting is on and putting up the hood, it was a little big, but that's no surprise, me and Chongyun are the same height but I'm much less muscly...

Chongyun looked at me and turned a little red,

"What's wrong? Are you too cold?" I asked worriedly,

"No, no, I'm fine; you just - it's nothing." he stuttered,

"Are you sure? I can give you back your jacket if you want"

"NO! Sorry, I mean, no, that alright, you can keep it if you want?"

"Really? Are you sure?"

"Mhm, it suits you much better than me." He laughed, and then he did something I did not expect at all,

he opened a popsicle,

"Uh, don't you think it's a bit cold for that?" I asked, tilting my head,

he looked at me.

"Nope!" he responded, going red again,

"Are you sure you're ok?"

"Yeah, don't worry." he smiled,

"Ok."

Then, another moment of silence arose; we were just looking at each other... Chongyun eating his popsicle, me watching in confusion,

Then, our silence was broken by the sound of a bus. Chongyun discarded of the popsicle stick, and we both stood up and got on the bus. We decided to go to the back since Liyue is the last stop. I looked out the window, watching the view as the bus moved, and suddenly, I felt something on my shoulder. I looked next to me to see chongyun; he had fallen asleep. I smiled to myself; he was so pretty..

his light blue hair and eyes, his pale, soft skin.. his lips.....

But of course, anyone would admire his features, not just me! he's perfect!

Before I could think I found my hand on his head, I mean, who wouldn't do that? I needed to know if his hair was as soft as it looked... it was...

I quickly moved my hand away when I felt him move. he sat up and wiped his eyes,

"Sorry, did I fall asleep?" he asked,

"Yeah.." I whispered, trying not to smile or blush,

'Sorry about that.."

"It's ok, you woke up at a pretty convenient time, though. Here's our stop."

"Oh good," He smiled, standing up,

I followed him off the bus, and we walked across the bridge into town,

We made it to the centre of town when I spoke up,

"I live over that way, so... See you tomorrow?"

"Ok, see you tomorrow!' he smiled back, waving to me as I walked off,

Did I make a friend?

Chongyun POV:

I walked into my house and shut the door.

What the fuck just happened?

1 minute, I was analyzing poems with a random stranger in English class, and the next minute, I'm giving him my jacket and sleeping on his shoulder!

I took a breath and opened another popsicle in an attempt to slow my heartbeat and basically just calm the fuck down.

I went up to my room, ignoring my aunt as she tried to get me to meditate with her. When I was younger, I would've jumped at any opportunity to meditate with my aunt, but now... What's the point?

I sat on my bed and ate my popsicle, trying to figure out what had actually happened in that fever dream of a day when there was a knock on my door,

"Chongyun? Can I come in?"

It was my aunt. I took a breath and then responded,

"Yeah."

She opened the door and instantly sighed,

"I know those popsicles help with your condition but you should really try and balance your diet more." She spoke in her usual, slightly monotone, voice,

"Why though? Popsicles are basically just water." I huffed, I didn't like being this grumpy but my emotions seemed out of control for some reason.

"Have you had a rough day? You seem upset.."

"Wow, an empath are we?" I sighed sarcastically, Shenhe had a disappointed look on her face and I began to feel bad,

"Sorry... today has just been eventful and im really tired." I explained,

"It's ok yun, just... maybe try and meditate.. that always used to help." She advised before closing the door and walking away,

I started to feel angry, at myself and at my aunt, not only had I been rude to Shenhe, and for no reason as well, but then she told me to meditate and looked at me like I was some stupid little emotional kid again!

But then I remembered, as my mom always used to say, 'anger is never the answer, if you feel angry, push it down'

It works less and less every time but I still tried.

Besides, I didn't even have a good reason to be angry, my emotions were just playing up again!

I put the popsicle stick in the bin and switched off the light, sleep seems like the best option right now, and I definitley need it.
