Chongyun POV:

I had been walking for morax knows how long through the same peice of forest, I had no idea where I was going or why I was looking here but I needed to find him,

It had gotten dark and was starting to get cold, I was already scared that I'd get attacked by hillichurls but that was the least of my worries right now,

I had started to get dizzy and I didn't know why, maybe the stress was making me overheat, I reached for a popsicle but soon realised I didn't have any...

Shit

I decided to sit down for a bit, just until I felt less dizzy, the last thing I wanted was to pass out in the forest,

I sat down by a random tree and closed my eyes, but when I opened them it was morning and shenhe was in front of me..

I practically jumped out of my skin seeing her, it's safe to say I was in deep shit,

"Chongyun, what in the name of rex lapis are you doing! I was worried sick, you can't just leave some dumb note telling me you've gone chasing after the BALLADEER!! The only reason I found you was because of cloud retainer! If it wasn't for her you could've been killed by hillichurls or- or-"

"Shenhe I'm sorry calm down!" I apoligised, trying to stop her ranting,

"No Chongyun. You can't keep doing stuff like this! Your mother left you in my hands and I already failed you once so I won't do it again! I mean if you keep this up one day... one day an apology won't be enough because... you'll be gone.." she had tears in her eyes, I hadn't seen her this upset in my life,

"I.. I just wanted to find Xingqiu.. I don't want to lose him and- and the balladeer took him! What if he... what if... he's... what if I'm too late..." at this point I was crying, it always made me feel so pathetic when I cried but I couldn't help it,

"You're not too late, Xingqiu was found outside our house, the only injury he had was on his leg and it looks like it was cleaned and bandaged up pretty well."

"What? He's back?"

"Yes, now let's go home, he's asleep in bed right now but he's going to be questioned when he wakes up and it's probably going to be helpful for him if you're with him for... moral support."

I agreed and we went back as fast as we could,

When we got there the police were in our house in the kitchen, probably waiting for Xingqiu to wake up.

I went upstairs straight away amd seeing him made me almost start crying all over again.

After about 5 minutes he woke up but I didn't tell the police since I wanted to talk to him myself first,

"Xingqiu?" I whispered,

"Yun-?" I cut him off by shushing him,

"The police are downstairs and they want to question you about.. what happened, but I wanted to talk to you first so try not to let them know that you're awake."

"Hm? O-ok." He whispered rubbing his head,

"Are you ok? Did he hurt you? Where did you go?" I asked,

"Slow down.. he didn't hurt me he was.. he was actually kind of nice..."

"Nice?! He- that's the Balladeer you're talking about!" I whisper-yelled,

"No, you don't get it, he brought me back, and he only took me to give me back to my father! And almost as soon as I told him about what he had done he returned me here!"

"So.. you're ok?"

"Yes. I'm fine."

I nodded and went downstairs to get the police, I don't care how 'Nice' the balladeer was he still took my boyfriend away from me and I wanted him gone.

Apologies for the short chapter today but I promise the next arc is gonna be extraaaa dramatic :D (and hopefully lots of fluff depending on if I'm in a good mood) <3
