Xingqiu POV:

I looked up, Chongyun was right...

There was mistletoe.

I looked at the meticulously placed plant, then I looked over to the doorway and of course the butlers were watching seemingly hopeful,

I then looked back at Chongyun, who was looking at me,

That moment seemed to last for a painfully long time, looking at eachother, silently debating weather or not to do it, but then the moment was ended by a hand on my face,

It was a familiar feeling, he did this alot, but this time it seemed.. Different..

"Xingqiu... we're you serious when you said that you wouldn't pass up an opportunity to kiss me?" He asked, now caressing my face,

"Yes.." I whispered,

And then he began to pull my face towards his, and stopped when we were about an inch apart,

"You're... really sure?"

"By the seven, Yes!" I half yelled, running out of patience, I then closed the space between us, wrapping my arms around him in the process, and it was the best moment of my life, His lips were softer then I imagined and he wrapped his arms around my waist as the kiss continued,

This moment seemed to last forever, our lips connected, hearts beating in sync, maybe It was amazing because of the setting, or maybe because secretly, deep down, we had both been waiting for this moment for a long time...

I moved my hand into his hair and I could feel how hot he was getting just from touching his head,

I pulled away to check if he was ok but to my surprise he pulled me straight back into a more aggressive kiss, I was a little caught off guard but I went along with it, I am a man of my word and I wouldn't pass up this opportunity if it saved my life,

After a while we both ran out of breath and pulled away, I took the chance to check if Chongyun was ok, he was, as expected, a flustered mess, but seemed quite happy,

"Yun yun, are you ok?" I asked, still sat on his lap,

"Yeah, sorry its just a but hot in here." He laughed, running his hand through his hair,

"Hmmmm, come on let's go outside!" I suggested,

"Huh- but it's snowing, you'll freeze to death!" He spoke worriedly,

"I'll be fine, I'll put on a coat, you on the other hand, we can't have you overheating!" I then got up followed by the blue haired boy. I put on my coat and forced him to put on a coat, just because he was always hot doesn't mean he can't get too cold.

When we got outside it was pretty dark, but lucky for us liyue is always lit up by lanterns, we walked around for a while, talking about everything and nothing,

Chongyun seemed a lot cooler now so we made our way back to the house since I was cold now, and when we got back, surprisingly, we were welcomed by butlers, who took us to the sitting room, and we sat by the fire,

"Master Xingqiu, we have been saving up over the past few weeks and we decided to buy you and your.... friend... Christmas gifts!" The head butler announced,

"O-oh, you really didn't have to-" I tattered, surprised,

"No, but we did, you only ever get books and your family are never here to celebrate with you so we decided it was the least we could do!" One of the maids interrupted,

"Thanks guys.." I smiled,

They handed us both little packages and in mine was a golden bookmark, a new book, some gloves, a notebook and a pen,

Although it didn't look like much it was by far the best gift I had ever received, apart from my cat,

In Chongyun's package was some blue slippers, a new hoodie (probably because I stole his) and a box of popsicles,

We thanked them and then had a Christmas dinner with them, they had made Chongyun Christmas themed cold soba and some milk, Christmas this year truly was magical and for the first time in my life I felt like I wasn't all alone in this family..

It was amazing...

A/n:

Apoligies everyone, this chapter was short but consider it a Christmas special??? (I'm aware we aren't anywhere near Christmas but yk)

I havent been putting trigger warnings for chapters like the one where chongyun had a panic attack and I just noticed that, the chapters after this one might get a little more sensetive so I will try to remember to put one but if I forget feel free to let me know 😅
