Chongyun POV:

My head hurts.

I'm tired.

Maybe letting go is the best option..

A part of me wanted to let go, like a whispering in my head telling me to just go to sleep and it'll all be over, I so desperately wanted to let go,

But another part of me, a bigger part, in fact most of me was telling me to hold on, to stay awake, because if I let go now, I would never see Xingqiu again.

I couldn't let that happen, I had to see him again, I had to see him smile, I had to feel his lips on mine, I had to hear his voice,

And then I did..

I heard his voice..

He was.. talking to me?

Xingqiu POV:

I lay in Chongyuns bed, that empty feeling in my chest that I hadn't felt in so long was back.

Laying in his bed without him felt strange, like I shouldn't be here without someone to fill the empty space, specifically him.

Suddenly Shenhe opened the door, she looked worried,

"Get in the car, quick."

That's all she said, and by her tone of voice I could tell something bad had happened, so I got up and got in the car as fast as I could,

On the car ride nothing was said, we were going to the hospital. I knew that. I knew this drive off by heart now.

Something bad had happened.

We were going to the hospital.

This was to do with Chongyun.

Was he dying?

No...

No no no...

Was he... dead?

"Shenhe what's going on?" I asked, holding back tears,

"Chongyun hit his head, that's all I know." She responded,

My heart dropped.

Please. Please, please, please be alive.

We got to the hospital and ran inside, the nurse took us to Chongyuns room, he was sleeping.. I hope.

The nurse told us what had happened, he hit his head after an anger outburst, he wasn't dead but he wasn't far off either.

I went into his hospital room as Shenhe spoke with the doctors and I say on the edge,

"Chongyun... hold on please.. I cant loose you.." I whispered through my tears,

He didn't respond. Of course he didn't. Why would he? He's asleep. I hope.

"You're just sleeping right?"

"I missed you.."

"I finished that book..."

"Nothing has happened since you've been away so.. I don't have much to talk about.."

"Bennett and Razor told me to send their love.."

"They've missed you too."

"Also a bunch of people at school have been asking where you are.. they haven't asked me but I have heard them."

I spoke to him for no reason, I was pretending he could hear me,

"Wake up please. I feel really lonely talking to myself."
