Xu Shizhou stood outside the ladies restrooms for more than half an hour. After shouting her name a few times with a dark face, no one responded and he finally realized Xia Yao had escaped from the window.
Wait, it was on the fifth floor, she wasn't Spider-man, was she? No, never mind, it was Xia Yao, she could do about anything.

Xu Shizhou called her at first but her phone was turned off. After weighing the pros and cons, he simply decided to directly head to her house; she would have to go back at one point or another, he just needed to wait here.

What it had not expected was that such a stubborn bunny would stay out until the sun went down and the sky went dark. The boy even started to wonder that if she wasn't going back to her house— was she going to Ji Huai's?
He knew that Ji Huai liked Xia Yao. He himself liked her, he could notice his love rival at a glance. And the more Xu Shizhou thought about it, the more anxious he became.
Xia Yao liked studying so much, she might really have gone to Ji Huai's to do homework. And then she had forgotten about the time and forgotten to head back home!

Annoyed and depressed, he looked at the sky angrily and saw the girl appear around the corner, leisurely walking with her hands in her pockets.
She looked like she was about to whistle too!

Xia Yao didn't expect she would find Xu Shizhou squatting in front of her door. She was taken aback then calmly asked: "Xu Shizhou, have you been waiting here for a long time?" She was slightly joking, Xu Shizhou was not someone with a lot of patience and he had probably been there for only ten minutes.
"Yes." Xu Shizhou stood up but because he had been in the same position for so long, his legs had become numb and he staggered a bit before stabilizing himself.
"If I tell you I waited for three hours, how will you compensate me?"

Xia Yao was about to unlock the door with her fingerprint and she looked back at him with astonishment: "Three hours?"
She suddenly recalled that she had told him they would go home together before she had run away. Seeing his aggrieved expression, she felt that she was a bad person who didn't know how to keep her promise.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong. I will bring you breakfast tomorrow, what do you want to eat?"
"You're just going to send me off like this?" Xu Shizhou raised his eyebrows and squeezed in the already opened door.
"How about promising me you will go home with me every day after school from now on?"
The moment the door closed, the boy's tall body blocked Xia Yao in the doorway. He didn't ask her why she was coming home so late, he just wanted to go with her in the future. He didn't matter if she didn't like him yet, feelings could be cultivated slowly.

Xia Yao was blocked at the door and the light in the room hadn't been turned on yet. The moonlight illuminated the two of them from the huge window and the scene fell into silence for a moment.
Under the gentle light, their close distance made her a little uncomfortable and she pushed his chest away as she refused: "No."
"No?" Xu Shizhou stared closely at her red cheeks, "You're not being shy, are you? Do you think I'm pursuing you too tightly right now?
Xia Yao raised her eyebrows: "Isn't it what you've been doing all along? Let alone our school, even the school next door knows about it."

Xu Shizhou smiled slightly when he thought about all the rumors between the two of them, but thought that Xia Yao was not the kind of person who liked to be the focus of attention, and she shouldn't be happy about the fact everyone knew he was chasing her.
"If you get together with me, there won't be any more rumors because it will be real." He stretched out his hand to take Xia Yao's hand but she avoided him.
"Wow, the way you think is beautiful." The girl laughed.

Seeing her smile, Xu Shizhou felt joy in his heart and he leaned down and closer to her, before whispering: "Xia Yao, I like you. I like you so much."
He got too close again and Xia Yao instinctively wanted to push him away. But as soon as she raised her hand, she was caught and the boy squeezed her palm.
Like an electric shock, she wanted to withdraw but oddly, she hesitated when she met his extremely serious eyes.
The hands of two people were raised in the air.
