"It's not that bad, (Name)." Ryoga said, thigh high in the water. You stood there at the waters edge looking at Ryoga nervously, waves lapping at your feet.
"I-I can't, R-Ryoga." You sputtered, wrapping your arms around yourself tightly. Ryoga sighed in slight annoyance, but started walking towards your shaking frame, holding his hands out.
"(Name), there's nothing to be scared of, I'm here, I won't let anything happen to you." He said, stopping in front of you. You looked up at him with frightened (eye colour) eyes.
"D-Do you promise?" You asked, starting to shake a bit from nervousness. Ryoga smiled reassuringly and nodded, grabbing your arms to unwrap them from yourself.
"I promise." He said, intertwining his hands with yours. He slowly started to pull you towards the water. You gulped and shivered as your foot made contact with the water, fear creeping up your chest. You started to sweat as the water came up to your knees, shaking as it went passed them. Ryoga stopped walking as the water reached your hips, watching as you shook violently. By now you were sweating, breathing heavily and shaking like a leaf.
"Calm down, (Name). The water won't swallow you whole." He laughed, a smirk edging its way onto his lips.
"It could!" You protested. Ryoga rolled his eyes and pulled you into a hug.
"It won't. I'm here, I won't let it." He said, looking down at you. Your (eye colour) eyes locked with his deep blue ones, showing nothing but (lies)honesty. You nervously hugged him back, trusting him.
"Ryoga, if I drown, I will haunt you for the rest of your life." You murmured, a blush creeping across your cheeks as he laughed loudly.
-Timeskip-
"Ryoga! Stop it!" You screeched as he held up a crab by the back of it's shell. He smirked and waved it around in front of you, scaring you and the crab. You started to back away, not wanting to get the grip of death from a crab.
"Knock it off! It could grab you!" You screeched as you saw it snap its claws.
"It can't reach me, (Name). If you hold it by the back of its shell it can't reach you, its arms only move to its sides and front." He stated, continuing to wave it around. You backed away again in fear of it grabbing you.
"Well then stop waving it around! You're scaring it, Ryoga!" You protested and he just laughed.
"If I let it go, it'll probably have a worse fate, (Name)." He chuckled, amusement etched onto his (disgusting)face. You glared at him and looked down at the crab. The thing looked terrified. You looked up as Ryoga continued to laugh, closing his eyes. You quickly whispered 'sorry' and grabbed one of its legs, yanking it out of Ryoga's hand before flinging it back into the ocean. Ryoga opened his eyes and blinked, looking at you. You sheepishly smiled and started to back away.
"Eheh, h-he looked scared." You rubbed the back of your neck. Ryoga's eyes narrowed and he started to walk towards you. You kept walking backwards and when he reached out to grab you, you screeched and ran.
"I'm sorry!" You cried, screeching again when he almost touched you.
As the sun set, couples and families were interrupted by loud schreeches and the words "I'm sorry" over and over again. The source was the teenage couple, running down the sun kissed beach. Some watched in amusement while others watched in annoyance(or terror.)
