MOMO PUSHED HER reading glasses against her nosebridge and took a sip of her jasmine tea as she silently flipped a page over in the book which was laid neatly on her desk.
She had concluded a student council meeting a while ago which had lasted way too long, and she was practically exhausted from all the debating and speaking she had to do. And so, she decided to make herself comfortable and read a good book to spend her time.
Her eyes, those of which were fringed with long lashes, narrowed in concentration with the suspense of the storyline getting higher and higher by the minute. However, her moment of engrossment towards the plot had suddenly ended after a couple buzzes erupted from her phone.
The midnight haired girl sighed in disappointment as the book was just getting good, but nonetheless continued to pick up her phone which was placed beside a stack of books on her desk and turned it on to reveal the light of the device's screen glaring on the pale skin of her face.
Momo clicked on the notifications which repeatedly popped up on the screen which led her to the group chat she was in with Kyoka, Mina and Ochaco.

Momo stared blankly at the conversation in the group chat as new messages continuously popped up with her friends urging her to come along. She knew that they saw she was clearly leaving them on read, but that was the least of her concerns right now.
Only one thought had taken over her mind.
They don't need her.
