June March is hundreds of miles away from her life and family and yet she's never been happier. She found it strange how quickly she could forget her troubles when in the presence of her chosen family, her closest friends. While everyone was simultaneously worrying about making it off this island, June couldn't help but dread the day they finally decided to go home, knowing that this momentary paradise was only temporary.

JJ Maybank lived for her and her only. His friends looked at him in a new light, Pope starting to worry about just how love sick the boy was. He would do anything for her, as expected, but something had shifted, and he couldn't quite see JJ anymore, just the ghost of who he used to be before her. It was easy to see how he was losing himself in having her. The Maybank boy was blinded by his love for her, but he saw no problem with that. She was the only thing he needed, and he was intent on never losing that again. Which led him to his next problem...Rafe Cameron. His outrageous anger towards the older boy had started to grip him, and he found himself thinking about Rafe a lot of the time, how he could get back at him. How he could make him pay for what he had done. His mind was filled with these thoughts most of the time, and sometimes he even dreamt about doing awful things. It was almost an obsession to dream of the revenge he would take, but sharing these feelings was not an option, given the crowd he was around. People who would try and stop him from doing something stupid, this was an act he would have to go about alone.

June March and JJ Maybank we're living in temporary bliss, their love binding them and the two of them facing their challenges together. The lovers are staring their worst fears in the face, holding hands while they do so. What could go wrong?
