Comfort

Edward's POV:

"Let's get you to the nurse's office okay" he doesn't say anything back, so I take it upon myself to help him up.

All eyes are on us as I helped him up, and let him lean against my body. Once he was up I helped him walk inside, not letting go of him because I didn't want him to fall over or pass out again.

I understood why everyone was looking at us though.

My twin brother, Harry, and I have never been ones to ever come close to an omega, we never felt the need to.

We always preferred each other's company and thought an omega would come between us. But as soon as Harry and I met Louis we instantly felt a connection. And just looking into his bright baby blue eyes made our inner alpha howl with joy.

But joy wasn't the only thing we felt as we met him.

When we looked into the small omega's blue eyes we felt the need to try and protect him. Help him.

His eyes were like staring into the ocean, beautiful yet filled with so many secrets.

"Oh dear, what happened?" the nurse Mrs. Cooper asks, as soon as we make it into the nurse's office.

Louis' skin is pale and his body seems to still be shaking, "He passed out during gym, and when he came to he seemed to have a panic attack" I told the nurse, worry laced within my voice.

"Can you bring him over to the bed, please?" she asks.

Nodding I walk him over and help him lay down gently, "Can you tell me what exactly happened before he passed out, dear"

"Um well we were playing capture the flag and as soon as Mr. Corden announced that we can use our powers I noticed that his body seemed to freeze up," I told her thinking back to the incident "and when I went up to him to ask if he was ok his eyes rolled back and he passed out"

I watch as the nurse's eyebrows seem to scrunch together at my words, almost as if she seems to know what's wrong, "What's his name, honey?"

"Louis. Louis Tomlinson"

She walks over to her small desk and starts looking through some of the files she has for students. Finding what she's looking for she opens the file and starts reading.

Her eyes widen before closing the file and walking back over to us, "I'm gonna have to ask you to leave, dear, I take care of him don't worry"

"Wait what? I can't just leave him here," I say protectively.

"I'm sorry, honey, but you need to get back to class and he needs to rest," she says in a sweet voice.

Looking at her I can tell something's wrong. Like she's trying to hide something.

Turning to look at the small omega I see his eyes closed. He looks so beautiful. So fragile.

Sighing I take a deep breath in, trying to calm my inner alpha, "Fine, just please take care of him for me"

"Don't worry, dear, I'll take good care of your mate"

Her words seem to make my wolf go crazy, and I can feel my cheeks grow pink. I don't bother correcting her, just nod and say a small thank you before walking out the room.

Not feeling the need to go back to class I pull out my phone to text my brother.

To: Haz❤️

Hey, bubs, I know you're in class but I wanted you to know I just brought Louis to the nurse's office.

Not even a minute later I get a response back.

From: Haz❤️

Where are you?

Sending a quick reply back I sit down against a locker to wait, knowing he's probably on his way.

Soon I can hear the sound of footsteps walking my way and the smell of fresh brewing coffee, and cinnamon fills my nose.

Turning my head I smile. Harry always seemed to be able to make me feel better no matter what.

As he reaches me, he sits down right beside me, "What happened, Eddie?"

Breathing in his scent my alpha seems to calm down a bit, "Louis passed out and had a panic attack in gym class"

That seems to make him worry more, "wait why, what happened?"

"That's just it, I don't know, the nurse practically kicked me out of the room. And my alpha is going crazy just wanting to protect and hold him"

He moves so his head is resting on my shoulder, lacing our hands together, "I know, Eddie, I feel the same way"

"I" I knew as soon as the next words left my mouth there was no going back "I want him to be ours," I told him honestly.

He removes his head off my shoulder and stares directly into my eyes; hope and love-filled within them.

"I do too. He's so perfect and beautiful." He says smiling at me.

I mirror his smile before leaning in to kiss his forehead, "What if he doesn't want us?" I ask.

"Let's just give it time okay. We can both tell there's something wrong that he's trying to hide. Let's just work on helping first ok"

He moves to place his head back on my shoulder and we decide to just stay there until the bell rings, wanting the comfort of each other right now.
