Pine needles

"CADENCE!" I hear from in my head, "WAKE UP CADENCE!"

My eyes slowly open and look up at the two faces inches away from mine, I turn my head and see we are still in the forest so I probably wasn't unconscious for that long,

"You've been unconscious for 9 hours..." Noah said

Or I guess I've been asleep for that long and my 'boy friend ' won't even ask if I'm ok

I roll my eyes at them, "I'm ok, no need to panic." I say sarcastically

They both look away embarrassed that they forgot to ask

"Oh, by the way Noah, how many times have feinted?" I ask

Noah blows out his cheeks and puffs out cold air, "around 5 times?"

I hum to myself, "huh..."

"Noah, I think I should take care of her from now on." Josh says smirking

"Absolutely not, she's safer with me." Noah counters

"So having two murderers together is fine now, huh?" Josh says unbelievingly

"Shut up mutt." Noah growls

"Guys calm down, why don't you just drop me off at Mackenzie's house?" I suggest coming forward to break up their fight

Noah nods and shifts into his wolf, Luca. I shift and josh follows shortly after, we run through the forest while the sun starts to set.

As I'm running my paws start to run on invisible ground in inch or two above the ground, I grin, I leap up as the black swirls in my fur spread as my eyes shine blue.

I howl in joy now running above the trees while the first stars appear,

"No fair!" Axel yells up at me

Luca just laughs

"Hey Serena! Come back down here!" Luca yells while stifling laughs

I look down and grin, I leap higher onto the air and backflip down in-front of both of them, my paws kicking up pine needles that fall around me like a dark green halo.

"Isn't my mate cool?" Axel says noticing Luca's surprised face

"I was her first kiss." Luca said

Axel looked offended but after a few seconds they both burst out laughing

We continued to run through the thick trees, I obviously doing parkour off of their trunks. (Cause I can hah) then we reached the end of the trees and said goodbye.

I shift back once their both out of my sight,

"Damn, why is one hot and the other pretty?" I say to myself as I walk up to my room

I walk into my room and see my mom staring at my wall posterless , covered in claw marks,

Shit

I walk up to mom

"Hi mom?" I sheepishly say

"Explain this now!" She yells at me

I back away now scared of what will happen, my hearing suddenly spikes and I duck behind my bed

"Wha-" my mom gets cut off by my window shattering

"Cadence? Where are you?" Noah says

I raise my hand from behind my bed

"Ok, cadence close your eyes." Noah says right before a bright light flashes where my mom was

"And the window was broken by a base ball, now go downstairs and cook something." I hear Noah say

The light subsided as my mom leaves the room, her eyes almost lifeless

I get up and look at Noah, "what in the bloody hell was that?!" I scream at him

"Me saving your identity." Noah says all cocky
