A war is coming

Josh pov

Cadence is laying in the floor with scratches all over her face,

"At least her bones are fine." I say

"That doesn't help." Noah said glaring at me

I hold my hands up in surrender

"Sorry didn't know you cared that much." I said

Noah kneels on the ground next to cadence gently shaking her to wake her up.

"She's out cold guys, let her sleep in my room for now." Amy says

I pick cadence up bridal style and place her in Amy's bed down the hall

Noah sits down at the dining table down stairs,

"Felicity says there's a war coming. With two new alphas it is very likely to be between our pack and Mateos pack." Noah says

"Currently we have an alpha, Luna, temporary Luna and beta in this house, both of who are from the same two packs." I state

"That is true, if we can stabilize the relationship between our two packs we might be able to prevent a war." Amy suggests

"We'll see." Noah finishes

Mateo pov

I'm walking down to the pack house as I feel I tap on my shoulder, I spin around a bit jumpy from the last few days.

"Hi!" I boy about my age says

"Hi?" I question "who are you?"

I say looking him over, same brown hair and brown eyes but shorter

"Oh right you don't know who I am!" The boy said lightly face palming himself

"I'm nick! You're brother."

"Brother?" I question

"Yea! We were at the lake and you disappeared and until now mom and dad thought you were dead until well they died too." Nick said sheepishly

"Wow, I never thought I had any family left, now I've got a brother..." I trail off

Nick grins and drags me towards the forest,

"Where are we going?" I ask

"You'll see." Nick laughs

We enter a small clearing, the strong scent hits me

"What are we doing at the blood moon packs border?!" I whisper yell

"Relax I do this all the time." Nick reassures

I clench my teeth and look over the bush we are sitting behind seeing josh rush out of the pack-house and immediately shift into his wolf taking off at almost top speed.

"Somethings going on if the beta just ran out." Nick states

"Cadence..." I whisper

"Who?" Nick asks

"Oh, the girl who brought me here." I respond

"What's she got to do with the beta?" Nick asks

"They're mates." I say

"Oh." Nick chuckles lightly

Nick and I start to head back to our pack so I can do some work, Nick says he's going to go for a run before taking off towards the border again,

Amy pov

I'm sitting beside cadence as she lies in my bed, I reach forward to feel her head for any fevers but she starts muttering words

"War... dead... run josh... help-" she says before an ear piercing scream erupts throughout the house.

"Noah!!!" I yell

Noah comes running up the stairs,

"What was that?!" He asks

"Cadence started muttering and then she screamed." I say worriedly

"That's not good." Noah starts

"Cadence!" We both hear from downstairs as an out of breath josh bursts through the bedroom door

"Woah." Noah says backing up

"Is she ok?" Josh asks

"We think so, just a nightmare I think." I say

Josh sighs a huge breath of relief,

"Good." He says

Nick pov

"The war is coming." I say as I finish planting the mines along the borders
