Pack

Josh leads us into his house, grabs a back pack and drags us out of his house to the forest.

"Where are you taking us?" I ask

"To find Mateos destiny." Josh said smirking at Mateo

Mateo looked confused and just kept running, we ran for another hour and then came to a clearing surrounded with wolf scent.

"Welcome to the nightshade pack." Josh said leading us in

Mateo and I marvelled at the enormous pack clearing, I looked around at all the little houses. Josh led us around the houses to an huge White House with way too many windows and dark oak siding,

"This is the pack house," josh gestures to the house, "and that is the alphas house."

Josh pointed to a slightly smaller building but equally modern,

"That's the alphas house, you can stay there Mateo." Josh said

Mateo looked at josh in shock, "I'm an alpha?!"

"There's a distinct scent of an alpha, his blood gives off a cinnamon and beech tree scent, I'm pretty sure." Josh said smiling

Mateo stared at him for a good 3 minutes before saying,

"So... my parents?"

"Dead I'm sorry, they died a few years ago in a battle, I've been in charge since because I'm the beta." Josh said sadly

"Beta?" I asked

"Oh yeah! Beta's are second in command in packs, so with you being my mate you would be temporary Luna and also second in command." I looked at josh confused,

"the Luna is the alphas mate." Josh finished

"Oh, so I'm temporary Luna now?" I asked

"That's up to Mateo." Josh answered

I looked at Mateo,

"Sure." He said shrugging

I smiled and looked at josh before punching him hard in the gut, that made him double over forwards and kneel at my feet,

"You didn't think to tell me i was so important in this pack, let alone part of one!!!" I scolded him

"SorrySorrysorrysorry..." josh pleaded

I laughed and knelt down and hugged him,

"Thank you for giving me this family." I smiled into his shoulder

He hugged me back, "thanks for rescuing me so many times." He whispered

"Uhhhh... can we not right now." Mateo said smirking

We all burst out laughing, josh took us into the alphas house and showed Mateo his room, josh led me into his room and said that the betas mates room was connected with a door through the wall.

I smiled and layer down on his bed, josh jumped onto the bed almost sending me flying off of it. I laughed and dove under the covers hiding from him, he lifted up the duvet,

"Found you." He said

I crawled back up to the opening and placed my head on Josh's arm, he smiled and lates his head next to mine.

"Good night cadence." He whispered

"Goodnight josh." I mumbled before falling into sleep.
