Gold eyes

My eyes open to the sound of growling beside me, I get up and see that Josh's wounds have reopened and blood is spilling out of them. Crimson blood is all over my fur and ground. I jump over him to see his face, it's so strained and he's baring his teeth through the pain.

The tranquilizer darts are still affecting his abilities and he has a very high fever. I really don't want him to die, if he dies I will get depressed, then I'll slowly die of a broken heart, I don't want to die either.

I start to panic and pace back and forth in-front of him, I look at him and see his chest is no longer rising up and down

"Shit shit shit..." I whisper

I try to shake him awake and try to give him a pathetic excuse of cpr, his face settles and I realize he's almost gone, his heart stops. I hang my head over his body and howl, so stricken with grief I don't notice my fur glow green and my eyes turn gold.

I place my head on his shoulder and cry and for a straight minute I thought, this is it both of our deaths first him and then me,

"Why are you crying?"

"I can still hear his voice, moon goddess please make it stop..." I sob out

"Am i dead?"

I turn and see Josh's multi coloured eyes staring at my gold ones

I push myself away scared that I'm seeing a ghost and scramble backwards on defense

"What the fuck?" I say hesitantly

"Language cadence."

"Josh?" I question

"Yea?" He says

"Oh my goddess." I murmur unbelievingly

I rush over to him and jump on him,

"Your wounds are gone! How?" I ask

"Probably you, healing powers and all. I mean you are glowing." He chuckled

I look at myself circling

"Hmm," I start "you know I technically resurrected you."

"Hahaha, no way." He laughs

"No seriously, you were dead." I say staring at him

"Oh..." he says

I nudge him gently making sure I don't hurt him, I'm so relieved that he isn't dead. I roll onto the ground as he settles beside me, we both look up to the stars

"You know I'll always love you cadence." Josh says

"I know," I say "so I'm just gonna have to keep saving you."

"Do you, love me?" Josh asks

"If your looking for an answer, here." I say looking at him

I shift back and he does the same, I pull him in and kiss him.

"There's your answer." I say gazing at him

He smirks

I laugh

He smiles

I wince

"Cadence?" I hear, "CADENCE!"

Claws pull me from the clearing and i fade into the shadows

"Josh..."
