The new trio

Amy pov

I see land a couple miles out and use the rest of my speed to get Serena onto dry land so I can heal her completely.

I jump onto the land and look around for a shaded spot away from the rocks, I drag Serena into the small forest and lay her down on a pile of moss. Her breathing is ragged and short and I can tell she's trying to fight sleeping fully,

I put both my paws beside her wound and push the rest of my energy into healing her, her wound closes up and her breathing stabilizes. I lie down beside Serena exhausted from escaping the pirates.

Cadence pov

My eyes flutter open and I see tall pines over my head and Amy lying next to me. Thank goodness she was there, I thought I would drown.

I get up and let Amy sleep, she's probably exhausted from running so far. I picked a handful of huckle berries for Amy and I to eat when she wakes up. I head back to where Amy was sleeping to see her laying against a tree trunk braiding some vines together.

"Oh! You're back!" She says

"I am and I have food." I respond

Amy walks over and cups her hands together asking for the berries, I give them all to her as I had found a blackberry bush on my walk and ate those.

Amy shoves them all into her mouth and licks her lips,

"yum, those were good." She says smiling

I smile back, I start to walk around but hear a swoosh in-front of me, I immediately move to the side just in time to see an arrow stick into the ground beside me.

"What the hell?" I say

my walks into the small clearing where I am

"Amy, get back!" I yell

Too late, around 20 tribe people dressed in vines and feathers surround us. Half of them jumping down from trees.

"Only a wolf could have dodged that shot." A tribesmen said

A tribesman came up to Amy and I, he was decorated with shells and feathers, probably the chief.

"Hello, I am coda. Chief of the water wolves tribe, and you?" He asks

"Umm, I'm cadence, that's Amy," I say pointing at her, "we just escaped pirates and ended up here."

"Hmmmm, I see. We will bring you back to our village and feed you. Come." He says motioning towards the east direction

"Are you sure we're supposed to follow them?" Amy asks

"Sure, they're also wolves it couldn't be that bad." I say

"You worried we're gonna eat you?" A voice says behind us

I spin around to see a tall tanned boy maybe a few years older than us

"Woah." Amy says eyeing his bare chest

"AMY." I say nudging her

The boy just laughs, "I get that a lot, don't worry. I'm Mateo."

"Hi Mateo, I'm-" I start

"I know, cadence and Amy." He says smiling

We continue to walk and chat about home until I accidentally mention that Amy and I were eclipse wolves while I was talking.

Cadence how could you let that slip! Serena says

Mateos eyes widen, "no way..."
