Noah pov
I walk out of my house to see birds flying frantically away from my pack border, I start to turn back towards my house but a huge bang goes off freezing me in my tracks,
Another explosion goes off, and another and another and at this point I've yelled for Amy because josh already went back to his pack. Amy comes to the door having heard the explosions, We both shift and share a look of concern while racing to the blood moons pack.
I run to the border with Amy to see an enormous crater destroyed by explosives almost demolishing the border. Amy and I gasp in shock
"Mother fucker." I growl
Amy puts her hand on my shoulder to comfort me,
"We'll fix it don't worry." She says
"I don't care if we can fix it! Some fucker decided to blow up our border!" I yell
I walk into the pack lands and go up to the front of our pack house.
"I have an announcement," I yell to the crowd, "a war is coming, and that nightshade pack has already attempted to blow up our border."
Whispers and growls echo throughout the crowd,
"To WAR!!!" Amy and I both yell
"To war!!!" My pack yells back
I smile full of excitement, leading my first war. What an achievement even if it is against cadence. A pack does what a pack does...
Cadence pov
I wake up and walk downstairs to see josh sitting at the dining table with a mug of coffee.
"Josh?" I whisper
Joshes head whipped around to face me,
"Cadence." He sighs in relief
He jumps up spilling his coffee on Noah's table and runs over to me, he grabs me in his arms and kisses my forehead.
"Woah, are you ok?" I ask giggling
"Cadence you just almost died and your blood was everywhere." Josh replied worry hidden in his voice
I nodded slowly and hugged him closer,
"Please get her out." I say
"We'll try, I promise." Josh whispers
Mateo pov
I'm sitting in my pack house doing paperwork again until I hear a faint knock on my door,
"Come in." I say
Nick comes in with a worried look on his face.
"Mateo! A war..."
"What war?" I say perking up
"The war is coming." Nick repeats
"Nick, WHAT WAR!!" I yell
"The war between nightshade and blood moon." Nick says
"There is no war." I reassure
"No it's coming. I was at the border-" Nick started
"Again?" I cut him off
"Yes again, they are planning to wage war on us. They were getting all hyped up we NEED to prepare for a war." Nick says
"Fine, get everyone in training and restock medicine and repair weapons." I instruct
"On it." Nick says leaving the room

Cadence pov
Mateo told me that the blood moon pack had started a war with us, as much as I didn't want to fight Noah and Amy it doesn't change the fact that I'm in a different pack. Noah's battle cries ring throughout the forest where I am mapping out territory, I immediately jump up and start sprinting to our pack house.
As I reach the center of the pack lands I scream out,
"The war has started!!!"
I hear cheers and cries along with metal clanging metal as we load catapults.
We're coming
Noah pov
Our pack gears up and poisons their weapons with wolf's bane, toxic enough to burn through werewolf flesh. Amy is grabbing throwing knives and dipping them in the poison, I walk over to her and place a bracelet in her hand.
"Click this button twice if you need help." I say gesturing to the gold button on the top of the bracelet
She nods in response making her demeanour unreadable
One of the warriors shouts that team A is ready, Team C shouts that their ready and team B has already started scouting the area in between our packs.
"Here we go." I whisper
Josh pov
"I think I know how to get Felicity out." I say
"How?" Cadence asks while we are grabbing weapons from the packs barracks
"Let Felicity shift and then die as Felicity." I state
"I'll die." Cadence sneers
"You won't die, I would never let you die." Josh says
"I think it's to late for that." I hear Cadence whisper
I grip cadences hand as we walk towards the front of the pack where Mateo is standing, I see another younger wolf maybe a year younger than me,
"Is that the gamma?" I whisper to Mateo
"Yea, that's my brother Nick." He replies
"Oh so that's Nick." I say as I catch him winking at cadence
"Hey she's my mate." I growl at him
He throws up his hands looking all innocent
"Player..." I breathe
Cadence chuckles before nudging my shoulder,
"calm down, you know I would never leave my mate." Cadence smiled
I smiled gratefully before whispering to Mateo,
"Are we starting this or not?"
Mateo nodded
"We are going to war," Mateo announced, "the blood moon pack has already decided to blow up our border now we return the favour by eliminating their pack from existence!" Mateo shouted
Cheers and growls echoed around the entire crowd
"We move now!" Cadence shouted using her beta voice
The entire pack grabs poison and weapons, then started moving toward the forest and then slinking into the shadows surrounding the entire blood moon pack.
Third person pov
The two packs closed in on each other nearing contact, Nightshade pack in the shadows and Blood Moon pack sprinting towards empty pack lands expecting to find the opposing pack.
The Nightshade pack picks off blood moon warriors from the shadows,
"They're in the shadows!" Nick yells
"Cover the outskirts!" Noah orders
The Blood moon pack forms a circle facing the trees opposite him as the Nightshade pack crawls out of their ambush place.
" play fair won't you?" Amy says her words dripping with sarcasm
"I thought we were friends." Cadence growls
Both packs all shift into wolves rippling with tension and bunched up muscles all with a taste for blood.
