Everyone only warns you
about the pain
that comes from
scraping your knee
or getting a cut,
But no one
could have come close
to prepare me for the kind of pain
that comes from pouring
out your heart to someone,
Only to find that it is not enough.
I have to wonder: Is it me that is not enough for him, or is he the issue?
