POV : Barion Wykes

Staring at the tens of thousands of soldiers in front of me, who were standing on alert, made my heart skip a beat. And yes, this day has finally come.

On my whole life, I trained very hard, was educated very hard, and became the face of my big family name. And I must not spoil the good name of my family, Wykes Family.

What happened to Lucas, my brother, who betrayed us, made the councils and citizens of Dicathen distrust our family for a while. And because of that I fought even harder to earn their trust again.

And all my efforts, finally got me on this position.

Lead the Dicathen army to the battlefield. And after all, these tens of thousands of lives are my responsibility. And we have to win this war. No matter how.

I stared at my hands, imagining the power I had gained up to this point. My efforts from when I was kid to become a Lance and a white core mage.

We, the Lances of the previous generation, had promised to our King and Queen to devote our lives to the kingdom, and for that we were given an artifact to increase our mana core to white core. Which core stage I initially knew was the highest, but apparently not, there is a mana core stage higher than the white core stage, which is the integration core stage. The stage where the weak Asura mana core could be matched.

And because of the artifact, our mana core was sealed from reaching any higher stage and could only reach the white core stage. But several years ago, a girl, that I admire, tried to purify our mana core, and removed the seal. Allows us, the old generation Lances who reached the white stage due to Artifacts to be able to enter the Integration stage.

And here we are. The old generation Lances, Me, Varay, Aya, Alea, and Mica became integration stage mages. And we are the ones leading the soldiers into the battlefield.

The sound of gongs sounded and sound artifacts reflected the sound all over the place in Etistin harbour. The soldiers were currently silent in a position ready to wait for orders and facing a floating podium that was in the middle of the troops.

I saw our supreme commander climb the podium, Commander Virion wearing his armor with several royal emblems. Behind him stood the rest of the council, King and Queen Eralith from the Elf side, King and Queen Glayder from the human side, and Buhndemog Lonuid, as we call Elder Buhnd, replacing the previous treacherous King and Queen Rahdeas.

Beside them, lined up 14 Lance from each Race. With Arthur Leywin in front, together with Lady Sylvie in her dragon form.

Staring at the two of them, for the enemy it would make anyone want to run away from them. And for allies, it will cheer everyone up because they are both by our side.

Especially with the black Armor that Arthur was wearing now, a dark scaly armor with intricate golden runes lining it. In fact, the ground around him shook and the air around him was distorted due to the power it radiated.

It's hard to admit this at first.
But Arthur's own figure exuded an extraordinary aura and a great sense of self-confidence as well. He was already on par with the God himself.

I had never felt this intimidated before when dealing with someone, not even when I was dealing with Aldir or Wisdom.

I thought back to when we were in Burim City, when the negotiations took place and Arthur won the negotiations easily. At that time, I couldn't move a thing, and all the fear seemed to eat away at me at that moment, as if I wanted to bury myself.

And today, our troops will attack from two sides. We will attack directly into the Alacryan continent, attacking the center and the harbor.

The center will be handled by several integration stage mages, several tens of white core mages, as well as our leader and the center of our strength, Arthur and Lady Sylvie. The harbor will be handled by the fleet and led directly by commander Virion and I.
