"CARINA ELAYNE TOUSSAINT"

Saturday, September 24th - 2 nights until full moon

I must admit, I did stall for a bit once I entered the common room.

I hate that me and Rem are still on rocky grounds.

After pacing around the empty common room, I finally agreed with myself to go upstairs. I heard someone heading down just as I was entering the boy's staircase.

Thankfully it was only Simon.

"Hey Simon!" I greeted him as he walked down in my direction.

"If you're planning on snooping again..." he began saying, narrowing his eyes at me.

"I'm not planning on snooping nor was I ever snooping." I defended.

"If you're planning on snooping again, I shall warn you that Remus is in there." Simon continued.

"Well, it's a good thing Remus is just the person I'm looking for then." I replied.

"Oh, are you two on good terms again?" He asked.

I forgot how involved the entire school is in other people's business. You can't really get away with anything around here.

"Not quite. Getting there hopefully." I said.

"I do hope you two make it up." Simon said, continuing on his way down the stairs. He was now at eye level with me.

"We will in time. I'll see you around." I replied.

"Good day then." he said as he passed me.

Finally making it up to the doorway, I pulled up my hand to knock, hesitating at the door.

With a deep breath in, after a moment, I knocked.

"Remus?" I called out to him through the door. "Simon said you were in there?" I asked.

There was some silence followed by a muffled 'come in'.

Opening the door slowly, I peeked inside.

Remus was sitting on the windowsill, leaning his head against the glass with a closed book in hand.

He looked over at me as I entered the room, closing the door behind me.

"I heard you're avoiding me." I said, walking further into the room.

"Who could've possibly told you that?" Remus asked quietly, leaning his head back against the glass of the window.

"No one in particular." I replied, coming closer to where he sat.

"It was James, wasn't it?" he questioned further.

I laughed, "no, actually, quite the opposite." I replied.
