Chapter 17: Rhino And Electro

(Brooklyn, New York, April 2014, Y/N's Age: 27)

Y/N's POV

So I'm now out patrolling the city and it's been pretty quiet today.

I stick to a pole and smile as I look down at the city.

I then see a little boy and girl playing with a ball.

The ball goes into the street and a big semi comes towards the ball as the two kids run out to get it.

Y/N: Oh crap.

I jump down and web swing to them, I manage to save them before the truck can hit them.

I set them down on the sidewalk.

Y/N: Hey you guys, no playing in the streets.

Boy & Girl: Yes, Mr. Spider-Man.

Y/N: It's not a problem. Stay safe.

I then turn around and jump and web swing.

After a little bit of web swinging, I see that Rhino is once again causing trouble.

I land on the ground behind him.

Y/N: At it again, Alexei, are we?

Rhino turns around.

Rhino: You leave now, before I crush you, Spider.

Y/N: Aw, Alexei and here I thought we were best friends.

Rhino goes to attack me but I jump up and spin behind him and land on the ground.

Rhino turns around to me.

Rhino: I crush you.

Y/N: You're breaking my heart.

Rhino runs at me again but I kick him in the face and he stumbles back.

The two of us start fighting and I'm telling him about Peggy as we do this.

I jump on his back and start firing him to avoid buildings and people.

Y/N: I like her, you know? But I don't know, it's weird right? She had her own Steve and she told me that she didn't get to see if she loves him.

I turn him around the corner.

Y/N: But now she's with the Steve of this universe in Washington with Natasha and they aren't together but I do wonder.

I lift up on Rhino but he smacks me off him and I land on the ground.

Y/N: Ow.

I then stand up.

Y/N: So you know, what am I supposed to do?

Rhino: You could just tell her you love her.

Y/N: I could but what if she doesn't love me back?

Rhino: You never know if you don't try.

Y/N: You know Rhino, your a great friend to me.

Rhino: Thanks. You're a great friend to.

Y/N: Yeah, it almost sucks that you're trying to kill me.

Rhino: Yeah.

Rhino then runs at me again and I jump in the air and flip around him.

I then web him up and then I jump in the air and kick him down to the ground.

He groans.

Y/N: Well I look forward to the next time you escape.

Rhino: So do I.

I nod.

Then police cars arrive and Captain Yuri comes over to me.

Yuri: Spider-Man, are you okay?

Y/N: I'm great, Yuri. Rhino here is already for transport. Do go easy on him. He's the only other friend I've got.

Yuri chuckles.

Yuri: Who's the first?

Y/N: You, of course.

Yuri chuckles again.

Yuri: We'll take care of Rhino.

Suddenly my spider sense goes off as we hear an explosion.

Y/N: Where's that coming from?

Yuri: Hold on.

Yuri then tells me it's from an apartment building a few streets down.

I web swing to the apartment building and once I get there, I save the civilians.

I bring out the last civilian and set them in the ground.

Woman: Thank you, Spider-Man.

Y/N: Get somewhere safe.

The building explodes again.

Officer: Someone's still up there.

I jump up and web zip into the building and roll inside.

Y/N: Hello. Hello, where are you?

I turn the corner and my spider sense goes off.

I almost get blasted back but I jump in the air and do a front flip.

I then see Electro.

Y/N: Electro, I should have known.

Electro: Finally Spider-Man, I will kill you.

Electro goes to blast me again but I web his face.

Electro: Ahhh!!

I then web zip over to him and kick him out of the window.

I web his feet before he hits the ground but he pulls me out and I hit the ground.

Y/N: So much for trying to save his life.

I stand up and Electro blasts me to the ground.

Electro: It's over for you, Spider-Freak.

Y/N: If I had a dime for every time someone said that to me, I'd be the next Tony Stark.

He tries to blast me again but I dodge his shots.

I then web zip over and kick him in the face and then I get onto the fire truck and use the hose to wash him down.

Y/N: It's been fun, Max. Off to Rykers.

Electro: One of these days, Spider-Man.

Y/N: Yeah, yeah, yeah. One of these days your gonna kill me. One of these days I shall fall by your hand. One of these days, you'll be the greatest supervillain Spider-Man has ever faced.

Electro then screams for me as I web swing away.

I then head to my apartment to get some sleep.
