Chapter 28: The Party

(Three days later)

Y/N's POV

So after three days of working on Ultron, Tony, Bruce and I were no closer to figuring it out.

I then decide to go and join the party we were having.

As I walk downstairs I see many people, including WW2 veterans. I also see Sam, Rhodey, Maria and Dr. Cho.

I then see Peggy standing at the bottom of the stairs so I walk down to get.

Y/N: Hi.

She smiles.

Peggy: Hi.

I hold my arm out.

Y/N: Ready?

Peggy: Of course.

Peggy and I then go and have a fun time at the party.

(One Hour Later)

So after Peggy and I talk she decided to go talk to the others.

I'm now playing pool with Sam and I'm winning.

Sam: I just don't get how you're so good at this.

I chuckle and hit in another ball.

Y/N: You really wanna know my secret?

Sam: Of course.

I walk over and lean into his ear.

Y/N: (Whispers) It's just basic geometry and physics.

Sam laughs at this.

Sam: Just go.

I go to take my turn but I kinda feel bad for Sam so I miss.

Y/N: Your turn.

Sam: It's about time.

I hand Sam the pool stick.

Sam and I then finish the game and I let him win.

Y/N: Well you win.

Sam: I guess so.

Y/N: Wanna play again?

Sam: I don't know.

Y/N: 100 bucks a ball.

Sam: Wrack them up.

I wrack the balls for Sam and he makes a couple.

He goes again but doesn't make it.

Y/N: My turn.

Then I start playing better and the game ends with me winning.

Y/N: Hmm...I do believe you owe me some money.

Sam glares at me.

Sam: You just hustled me.

I laugh.

Y/N: No....I would never.

Sam: Spider-Man hustles. Who would've thought.

I put my hand out.

Sam: I want a rematch one of these days.

He hands me the money.

Y/N: I do remember saying in the beginning that it's just basic geometry and physics. Maybe one of these days I'll teach you.

Sam laughs again.

Sam: Your lucky I'm your friend.

Sam then walks away.

(Two Hours Later)

So after another two hours of partying I start to walk around.

I make my way over to the bar and see Steve and Natasha talking.

I chuckle as I can see the sexual tension coming off them.

I lean against the table.

Natasha then walks away.

Y/N: That's nice.

Steve looks at me.

Steve: Huh?

Y/N: You and Romanoff.

Steve: Oh that...that was nothing.

Y/N: Relax Steve, I'm not gonna tell anybody you have a crush on Natasha. She's not the most open person in the world but with you she opens up.

Steve: Really?

I chuckle and grab a bottle of bourbon from behind the desk.

Y/N: Yeah.

Steve: You know I could say the same about you and Peggy.

I choke on my bourbon.

Steve laughs at this.

Y/N: That's uh...I...

Steve: You should go for it. She seems to like you.

Y/N: Okay...I'll tell you what.

I grab two glasses and set them down and pour bourbon into them.

Y/N: I'll give it a shot with Peggy...If you give it a shot with Natasha.

I hold up the glass.

Y/N: What do you say?

Steve takes the glass.

Y/N: You spent sixty six years in the ice maybe it's time to get back out there.

Steve: Your right about that. All right, deal.

We clink our glasses together.

Y/N: Let's just uh keep this to ourselves.

Steve: Agreed.

Steve and I laugh and then go join the party again.
