"You're alright. You're alright. Just Calm. Down." Mephone repeated to himself like a prayer. Despite his efforts, his hands refused to cooperate. The glow didn't to leave them, it lingered in his palms no matter what he did. After leaving the hotel, he picked a direction and just started walking. He couldn't go back into the hotel anymore, not after that. He had no idea where he was going, but it wasn't like he was paying attention anyway.

Mephone didn't even notice his feet starting to hurt, too preoccupied with getting rid of the energy he had come to hate. He glared at his hands, the events replaying in his head. How did things get so out of his control in the span of 3 days? He saw him every now and again. He said nothing. He just watched. Mephone's tears hadn't stopped since he left the building. He rubbed them away furiously, but new ones would quickly replace them.

He had walked for what felt like hours. Where was he going again? Sparks flew from his hands as his simmering frustration turned to a boil. He just stood there and watched him, that same calculating expression on his face as if this was another one of his "tests". Mephone glared at him, his fury only rising. "When will you just GO. AWAY!" Mephone yelled out. Whether he was talking to the phantom or the energy he didn't know. That didn't stop him from swinging his arm to the side and sending a burst of energy right into a tree.

Mephone jumped back and covered his face as splinters flew around him. He hesitantly looked back up, his hands shaking. The wood was charred black. A deep gash was left in the trunk, almost cutting the tree in half. Mephone backed away from the tree. Wait- trees? Mephone gaped at his surroundings. When did he enter a forest? A familiar laugh interrupted his thoughts.

He leaned against one of the many trees, his dead eyes looked over him. "You really have no idea what you're doing do you?" Mephone practically growled. "Shut. Up." He laughed again. "Are you serious? First you kill me, then you freak out at Paintbrush for calling out your lies, and NOW your running away and crying about it in the woods like an upset child." Mephone glared at the forest floor, unable to look at the spector. "What's your plan genius? Just gonna live in the woods the rest of your life? God...you really are pathetic."

The shadows seemed to close in on him. The forest suddenly becoming way darker. What time was it? How long had he been here? Cobs(?) Pushed himself off the tree and slowly approached him. Mephone stumbled backwards. "S-Stay back!" He laughed again, a cruel and hollow sound. "You truly are a failure as a Mephone. At least 3GS could do its job, but you never could." Fear gripped his being. The shadows were closer now. They lashed at his legs in the form of bramble and vines. When did the trees become so tall?

Mephone covered his eyes. "It's not real it's not real it's..not....real." He whispered to himself, his voice breaking. "This won't ever go away. Running won't make me leave." Mephone covered his ears. "Shut up....just shut up, please....." He couldn't see anything anymore, his vision was completely covered. "You're telling me to shush? You're the one who screamed at Paintbrush and had a temper tantrum over it. And now your just running around in the woods talking to yourself."

"I said- SHUT IT!" Mephone screamed at Cobs(?) The atmosphere became abruptly silent. A cold breeze drifted through the trees. Mephone dared to open his eyes. Nothing was there. He spun around in a 360, the shadows were normal, the trees weren't encompassing him, and he was nowhere to be found... Mephone struggled to steady his breathing. He rubbed the remaining tears from his eyes.
