AN: To the Polly Chapman stans out there (and Karl Jenkins), I'm so sorry. I gave Polly a very bad@$$ aesthetic too. One of these days I'll release an extras companion as I did with the Teen Wolf fic I wrote (Innocent Bystander), where Polly will get her own chapter. Y'all are gonna love it.

Anyways, here's Lily channelling her inner Cassie (except Nate Jacobs will never be half the man Scorpius is LOL).

Setting: Wooden Bridge, School Grounds

Trigger Warnings: N/A

Harry, Lily, James and Albus enter. Harry seems very pleasant but tired in his demeanour. Lily is terrified, and still limping from her injuries. James and Albus are quietly bickering amongst themselves.

Lily: Dad...

Harry: Yeah?

Lily: Your not mad at me for being in love with Scorpius are you?

A small beat.

Harry: No, Lily, I'm not. In fact, I think it's wonderful that you found love in someone like him. The only thing I'm worried about is you two receiving howlers from Draco. We talked about it over the phone last night, and although he agreed not to intervene, he still doesn't necessarily approve, so I wouldn't put it past him to go back on that.

James: I hope he does, but then again, he and Greg Goyle seem to share a brain cell, so-

Harry: James!

James (enraged): What?! Surely Lily can do better than Malfoy; Y'know, the son of the man who tormented you and everyone you cared about all throughout your school days, called a truce with our family, only to start a beef ting with you and Uncle Ron back in October, and MOST LIKELY CALLS OUR FAMILY THE OPPS!?

Harry: "The opps?"

James (to Harry): The enemy.

Harry: Oh...

Another beat. Lily and Albus glare at James.

James (off the looks of his siblings): Okay, don't get me wrong, Scorpius is a dench g still, but he's the sole descendant of Draco flipping Malfoy, and I don't want to have that sket as some sort of inlaw!

Lily (defiantly): As I said, I don't care what you think, James Sirius Potter! I'm in love with Scorpius Malfoy, and I don't care what anyone has to say about it!

James: He could possibly be the son of Voldemort, remember?!

Albus (infuriated): That was debunked last year, James! Don't think I'm gonna let you slander my best friend like this because I will snatch you up so fast, bruv-

Harry: Albus, no!

Lily (fighting back immensely): You can judge me all you want, James, but I do NOT care! I have loved Scorpius since I was NINE YEARS OLD, and I did NOT spend all that time thinking he was in love with Rose to let you tear up what I have with him now. This is the happiest I've been all my life, and I am never, EVER going back!

The entire area goes silent. One could hear a pin drop at this moment. James stares at Lily in shock. Albus seems impressed. Harry, not knowing how to resolve this conflict between his two children, chimes in awkwardly.

Harry: You know, if I may, I never approved of you and Scorpius at first, Lily. But last night I had a dream, that Voldemort was speaking to me-

James: Defending his son I take it?

Albus: James, shut the-

Harry: Albus!

Another beat. Albus settles down, but still glares at James. Harry continues.

Harry cont. (to Lily): Anyway, He told me you two were together, Lily. At first, I was upset, which is why I called Draco about it. But then I realized... I shouldn't let my personal grievances impact my family like this, and you can thank Kreacher for getting that through to me.

James (flabbergasted): Wha - KREACHER?!

Harry: Yes, James, Kreacher. (to Lily) Anywho, I'll let you two hit it off, but if you receive any Howlers, DO NOT OPEN THEM. Understood?

Lily (ecstatic): (hugs her dad) I understand! Thanks Dad! I love you!

Harry: Love you too Lily. Now you might want to get back to the Great Hall. I heard Polly Chapman died, and her parents have already arrived via floo network. They may be preparing for a spontaneous funeral.

Lily: Okay!

Lily exits.

Albus (still upset with James): Can I go too, Dad? Because otherwise James over here is gonna get smacked.

James: Albus, you don't even lift, bruv! You can't hurt me!

Albus: Try me, James, I f*cking dare you.

Harry: Oh- okay, boys, let's not resort to violence. (to Albus) You can go back in too.

Albus: Thank you.

Albus marches into the school.

Harry: And watch your language! (a beat, now to James) James, do me a favour...

James: Yeah?

Harry: Don't intrude on Lily and Scorpius' love lives.

James: (scoffs) Fine, I will withdraw, but this lenience will, now seeming safe, convert to bitterest gall still, fam...

A beat.

Harry (confused, but going with it): Um, alright, great. Thanks, son.

Harry pats James on the shoulder and exits. James trudges after him.
