Setting: Ministry of Magic

Trigger Warnings: N/A

Rose and Louis wait for the Potters, Scorpius and Simon to arrive.

Rose: I assume you're aware of the plan?

Louis: Yes. Scorpius, Lily, James and I go to the Department of Mysteries to find that prophecy, Albus takes that g Simon to meet Uncle Harry as a distraction, you collect Uncle Ron, Aunt Hermione and Aunt Ginny and bring him to Uncle Harry's office.

Rose: And what do we do once the prophecy is retrieved?

Louis: Bring it to Uncle Harry. Meanwhile, Scorpius collects his dad and brings him over there as well. We explain the situation, everyone talks it out, amends are made, and Lucius Malfoy doesn't unintentionally catch the Wizarding World lacking and kill us all.

Rose: Exactly.

A beat.

Louis: Y'know, between you and me, I always hoped Scorpius and Lily would work out.

Rose: And James never knew?

Louis: Nope. In fact, I saw them in the Chamber of Secrets together when James and I went down there to screw around. I even covered for Scorpius when he left his speaker out in the open.

Rose: (reads Louis' mind) You want the best friend's sister thing too, don't you?

Louis goes pale.

Rose: With Ana McLaggen?

Louis: (laughs it off) Rahh, I keep forgetting you're a bare Legilimens.

Rose: Don't worry, I won't say anything.

Louis: Thanks, fam.

A nearby fireplace is set alight with a green flame and Albus emerges from it. The same is repeated with Simon, Lily, Scorpius and James.

Louis: Wagwhan, bruddas! what you sayin?

Simon (not having a sweet clue what he just said): I- um, hello to you too, Louis.

James: Wagwhan, fam! You two ready to take this?

Rose: Oh, yeah! For sure! I honestly can't wait for this petty rivalry to be over.

Albus: We never did find out how it started, did we?

Lily: Come to think of it, I don't think we did. Whenever I ask, Dad just gives a vague "Oh, we just don't mesh very well" or something as a response.

Scorpius: That's exactly what mine does! Kind of counterproductive considering the howler he sent me about my love life the other day.

James starts to snicker slightly, then stops himself, changing the subject to the task at hand.

James: Um, (clears throat) right, we should probably head-on. This prophecy hunt'll be so long that we'd need to start, like, now.

Simon: I agree.

Albus: Aight, Simon, follow me. I'll take you to my dad.

Rose: Speaking of dads, I should go find mine.

Louis (cheesily): To the prophecy room!

Lily (mimicking Louis' tone): Department of Mysteries!

Louis (same tone): Whatever!

Everyone parts ways.
