Chapter 1
LAUREN'S POV
When I entered the first grade in elementary, I had to transfer to a new school. My parents escorted me to my new classroom, and I felt shy and nervous.
As my parents left, I stood uncertain until my teacher instructed me to introduce myself to everyone and take a seat at the back of the classroom, near the window.
"I-I am Lauren Mariss Santiago, 7 years old."
After introducing myself, I took my seat. I remained quiet, observing my new classmates until I noticed someone engrossed in conversation with friends without a pause.
While gazing at him, I admired his handsome and cute face. I couldn't explain it, but it felt like I had a crush on him.
Days passed, and I learned his name – "Calix Spencer Alfonso." I also gained a new friend named "Denise Allison Cruz," who was kind and friendly.
Sitting in the classroom, I saw Calix talking to another girl, which saddened me. However, Denise came running towards me, bringing something that lifted my spirits.
Little did I know, I was starting to develop admiration for him, even though he was unaware of it.
