Chapter 3
LAUREN'S POV
Years swiftly passed, and now I'm in 4th grade. Denise and I remain best friends, and my crush on Calix lingers. I can't seem to control these feelings; there's something about seeing him that I just love. We're still classmates, but something unfortunate occurred.
My parents had a falling out that led to a separation. It hurt so much that I couldn't help but cry endlessly. All I wanted was to restore my parents' love and bring back the happiness of our family, but that's not what they wanted, and I couldn't stop them.
After my parents separated, my mother took me with her, while my younger sister and brother stayed with my father. We flew to America, where my grandmother resides, and I had to enroll in a new school. As for my siblings and dad, I had no idea where they went.
Even though I'm in America and Denise is in the Philippines, we still manage to stay connected..
